Hi everyone, today I discovered that I may have to switch to 10/325 Hydrocodone
, from 10/500 Hydrocodone. I am aware that the main difference is the amount of APAP
that each pill contains. What I know is the Acetaminophen
when combined with Hydrocodone, produces a synergist effect. This means that the efficacy is increased and both drugs
work better and for a longer time then if they were given alone.
This is why this medication does have such a risk for potential. The question I am asking is this, "Does anyone have any experience with the 10/325? I was perscribed some about 2 yrs ago. (I took them for about two weeks). For me they did not seem to work as well, or last as long as the 10/500. I was disappointed because even though they had the same amount of Hydrocodone, to me, they just didn't cut it. I had breakthrough pain, you name it, GI issues, just in 24 hours of switching.
Any feedback would be appreciated, I only take them as directed, so that is my basis for comparison. (Orally) The only ones I have tried (both kinds) were the Watson brand 10/325, 10/500. Thanks for your input.
