I frequent a website that allows the public to advertise for sexual partners in their general area, and I've noticed that many of the "party and play" (PnP) typically gay meth
users who are looking for uninhibited sex with strangers are also looking for transsexual and cross-dressing partners.
As a female who does not cross-dress, I am curious about the role meth plays in the excitement and sexual fantasy that cross-dressing creates for cross-dressing men, often also gay, who seek out other men for these encounters.
I'm well aware of the popularity of PnP in the gay scene here in California, and am also naturally aware of both the cross-dressing population (passing or non-passing) who enjoy gay sexual encounters with or without methamphetamine
. Now, I know that cross-dressing is not very common a feature of the typical gay scene--I understand that not all cross-dressers are gay--but is seen as more of a subculture of the scene. I am interested in the link that the cross-dressing lifestyle--whether out in public or only private--has with meth use as well.
Of course I know that meth enhances sexual pleasure, though not necessarily performance, in both men and women, and that cross-dressers would be just as likely as the general population to want to have sex while on meth. But I wonder if there's something inherently more exciting to cross-dressers who PnP with strangers than to the rest of the meth-using gay PnP scene.
Is it the combination of having sex (sometimes bareback, which is dangerous) with strangers while dressed as the opposite sex that's simply appealing, or is it the double-whammy of being high on meth while cross-dressing as well as doing PnP with strangers? Judging by the popularity of the ads by cross-dressers and gay men looking for each other, I assume it's the double-whammy of the two.
If that's the case (someone who knows answer this question please!), would it then be less
fun to not cross-dress while PnP with gay men? Would it be just as fun to cross-dress on meth but not PnP? I hope I am not confusing anyone with my questions, as I am simply trying to ascertain if the pleasure provided by meth stems solely from the sexual experience, from the cross-dressing experience, or from the combination of the two.
One last question: why the predominant desire to have sometimes dangerous sex with strangers? Is meth entirely to blame there, or does the act of cross-dressing spur that desire as well?
