Reviving this old thread because question is easier to answer now than it was back in '09. In my chinchilla's opinion the 2 RC's that most fit the bill are ethylphenidate
and 4-FMC aka "flephedrone
". Both are 'straight' stimulants
in the sense that they have no deleriant side effects
of their own, similar in that to cocaine
and pharmaceutical amphetamines. The former is similar to methylphenidate
but has less untoward side effects. The latter is a derivative of methcatinone but doesn't have any psychedelic effects like most other drugs
of this class. RoA is very flexible since both readily dissolve in water (especially 4-FMC in crystal form) but ethylphenidate is a beotch on the sinuses for a few minutes. 4-FMC is much gentler in this regard, even has a cool, minty feeling to it. Rectal administration is reputedly the most cost-efficient method
As for 'seeming sober' they are good for it as long no massive dosage is administered, there again similar to cocaine. However if the user is normally an unusually sluggish or shy individual then increased productivity and/or sociability is likely to get noticed but nothing spectacular enough to automatically pin it on drug
use, especially considering that no alcohol
-type intoxication will be present. Actually if either of these drugs makes one become productive then maybe one has chronic fatigue, narcolepsy or ADHD, all conditions that warrant medical use of stimulants. If such is the case then one would be well advised to seek medical advice.
Legality. In countries with tight analog laws both substances are likely to be controlled because they are close relatives of Schedule I methcathinone
and Schedule II methylphenidate. The only Western country I know of where both are 100% legal is Canada so it can be ordered from there but be aware that Canadian vendors won't ship chemicals to countries where they are controlled unless all the paperwork is in order, and they are dead serious about it. If they are not sure of the status they may ship anyway but won't reship if the product is seized by Customs at the destination.
