[top]Introduction to 25I-NBOMe

25I-NBOMe is derived from the psychedelic phenethylamine 2C-I by substitution on the amine with a 2-methoxybenzyl (BOMe) group.

[top]Ways of Administration

Common methods of administration include sublingual and intranasal. The doses are typically volumetrically dosed due to the extremely low dosage for activity (microgram ranges). The dosing method commonly used is liquid or blotter form.

The HCl form is commonly found from RC vendors along with pre-dosed blotters and liquid form already volumetrically dosed using ethanol. Please be aware that blotter form does not assure that the weights specified on the the websites are true, so take care to dose conservatively.

Anecdotal reports describe 25I-NBOMe as having a rapid onset when insufflated or taken sublingually. It has been said to be inactive when taken orally, although this is unconfirmed.

[top]The Dangers of 25I-NBOMe

25I-NBOMe is a novel and potent research chemical. Little is known about it's safety or toxicity. Much like 25C-NBOMe, dosing is usually done volumetrically due to the general unavailability of scales that can accurately measure micrograms.

[top]United Nations

Uncontrolled at Federal and State level, though arguably may contravene the Federal Analog Act under certain circumstances given its structural and functional similarity to controlled substance 2C-B.

[top]United Kingdom

25I-NBOMe is uncontrolled in the United Kingdom, as N-benzyl derivatives of phenethylamine are not covered by the phenethylamine derivatives clause of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
