Today was also a tough day for chronic pain. I laid in bed for several hours unable to move. My back and hips are all fucked up plus menstrual pain TMI I know. Anyways, I'm up now and I'm just taking it easy. Just not a good day. Haven't had a period in two years mostly due to my heroin usage and my body weight. Sucks. Body is totally resetting itself. I have to just ride this shit out.

Thanks for your support though everyone. It will get better. Just have to wait it out. It's not even been a month yet. I've got months of healing to go.

Things will get better, Mel, and I'm VERY proud of you for not relapsing! That's no small victory and you should be proud of yourself. I know you've had a rough day, but things do get better with time. Sometimes it comes down to making it through the next five minutes . . . and then the next five after that . . . and so on until the cravings go away.

Don't beat yourself up over the Xanax or the Suboxone. You had to do what you had to do and that's NOT a relapse. I remember when my period came back. That was no picnic. I'd never had cramping like that before, so I empathize with what you're going through. I got hold of some Flexaril (cyclobenzaprine) and a heating pad and I think that without them it would've been utter agony and I might have picked up.

I too know what it is like having the sudden onset of menstrual cramps. Bloody horrible. The only thing that i have found that works for me, without having to go to the Dr every month or 3 months, is having a birth control implant.

Obviously, to everyone reading this, it is only a good idea if you have no intention of getting pregnant within the next 3 years approx. The first time i had it in my Left arm, my periods completely disappeared. When it was replaced in my left arm, unfortunately they came back, although they were soooo much lighter than they had ever been. Now I'm half way through the first time in my right arm and although I've had a bit of spotting, its nothing to worry about.

Just glad i no longer have the awful cramps that blighted me throughout my teens.

Hi Mel, Just checkin in to see how your doing my fiend. Sorry to hear your having pain and anxiety. Its horrible. I have pain too sometimes. I find lying flat on a hard floor for 10 to 15 minutes works wonders. I do some yoga too for anxiety and relaxation. Now I dont need any xanax around. Maybe you could give it a go amigo. Thinking of you mate. Your doing well mel. Keep going. Love You Mono

For menstrual cramps take 800 mg ibuprofen with food every 8 hours. A heating pad or hot water bottle will also help. And as crazy as it sounds yoga will help. Google yoga and menstrual cramps and do the 3 or 4 poses that come up. Restorative yoga works like magic. If you want yoga poses for anxiety, message me and I will list them all out. Actually maybe I will list them on my thread. Many of us have anxiety and mine has been greatly reduced with 20 minutes of yoga each day.

Hope today is a better day for you. Think positive. Our minds are powerful. What we think and believe is what we do and become. Love to you.
