My Norco Withdrawal and Addiction Story - Part 12

By sadbutglad · Nov 22, 2014 · ·
  1. I take a pill in the morning around 7:30 am, another around 10 or 11, another around 2, another around 4:30, another around 6 and a couple at bedtime. That's about 70 mg./day. I also get 7.5's from someone so toward the end of my script I take those so if/when I run out the dosage is less and WD's are less intense. A new year is coming and it would be nice to leave this problem in 2014. But, how do you say good bye to something that creates euphoria, ensures a good night's rest, and relief from pain. How?

One small step at a time, my friend. We have all been there. Just set a very small, achievable goal. Perhaps today on only one of your doses, wait 15 minutes?

Take the fear of of it and get a small amount of momentum going. 15 minutes on one pill is doable. Just do that for the week.

Try it today and tell me how it goes.

    Hugs xxoo

Or, just try taking one at bedtime instead of 2.

Hi, sadbutglad, I Was wondering, are you a smoker? If so, I find that i used to smoke more when I took my pain meds and when I ran out, I too had a caugh. Once I realized it was the amount I was smoking and cut back, i no longer had the caugh when I ran out of pills.
