My Norco Withdrawal and Addiction Story - Part 17

By sadbutglad · Dec 4, 2014 · ·
  1. Went to the chiropractor yesterday, feeling some relief. Trying to cut back on my usage big time today. Had the bubble guts 2x today AT WORK. Yea - fun...

Slept like shit last night and don't quite know why as I certainly indulged yesterday. It's almost 1 pm and I've only taken 1 7.5 mg pill. Now that is success. Trying to be strong. Trying to maintain my goal of controlling the pills and not let the pills control me. I'll take another around 2 or 3 and 2 pills at bedtime. That will be a total of 4 pills today (only 30 mg). Tomorrow until next week Tuesday (next 5 days) I will try to take only 3 7.5 mg pills/each day. OMGoodness - I almost know I can't do it. I know that sounds negative, but I know myself. Feeling weak already. Must make it until 2 pm and then convince myself to wait till 3.

    Until next time...

Good for you!! Wow what a huge difference in the way you are looking at this. You CAN do this. I think it's great that you have an idea of your planned dosage. Try really hard to keep at the 3 or 4 of those a day. When you get your next script do you plan on keeping to that dosage for a while until your body levels out on it and then going lower? I remember one time I tried doing that and o went down to about the same. The first 4-5 days kind of sucked but then I actually started to get that high feeling off of those and messed up and went right back to doing higher doses again. Looking back on it that would have been a good opportunity to lower my dosage over time slowly but tapering isn't my thing LOL. Also, comparing the discomfort and pain of just having to lower my dosage those 5 days as opposed to how I felt going cold turkey... Huge difference. I just wish I would have known it then.

You should really try to hold on just taking 4 a day for the next week and see if your body levels out and you may be surprised. It may be just what you need to get the tapering going.

    Good luck! ;)
