My Norco Withdrawal and Addiction Story - Part 25

By sadbutglad · Dec 28, 2014 · ·
  1. Today is day 1. Not fun. Body aches. I bought 30 .6 G pills of kratom. I took 6 grams and felt nothing really. I thought I had some benadryl for adults, but I don't so I took some of the kids (4 times a kids dose). Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight. I anticipate the runs tomorrow. I'll take 5 grams of kratom tomorrow to see if it does any good. I won't be hooked on the kratom as I see for some it's addictive. Not for me as there's no euphoria involved. And it was $30 for 30 pills. I've got the heater on and I'm cold. My next refill will be up on the 9th of January. That's 2 weeks. If I can stay off the pills for 2 weeks, I'll see how I feel about them by refill time. Hopefully I feel stronger both physically and mentally. Like I said I have to work next week =(

That really sucks because the plan was to lay around and get through the withdrawals. I so pray I make it to Wednesday (off Thurs. And Fri.). I pray it's bareable, not miserable. I want to stay clean, but so new to being sober and with WD's I can't say I'm excited about this new journey. I know if some pills fell in my lap I'd use in a second. I'll post my WD symptoms tomorrow. Wish me luckā™”

Sweetie, we have all been where you are. Eventually you will get tired of the cycle and end it. I'm not sure your quite there yet, but your getting there.

Benadryl made my withdrawals much, much worse. I would try and avoid it if I was you. You most likely will not notice any kind of high from the kratom as its not as strong, but it will help with withdrawals. Your tolerance needs to drop substantially before you notice any effects. I would say that is helping, though.

Hang in there and keep posting. The worst will be over in a few days.

For me, kratom doesn't work at all in capsules. I know that sounds nuts but it just doesn't. If you can, buy the powder online. Bali works best for most. The powder is way cheaper than buying it in capsules and works better and faster. I also get no high from it. Most heavy opiate users will get none as our tolerance is too high.

Hope you are making it through. Keep thinking on what you really want. Our minds take us where we want to go.

How are you doing today? Are you feeling a little better or are you still in the thick of it?

I have been thinking about you and wanting to see how you are getting along. If it gets really bad, try Loperamide. It will ease withdrawals but be careful with it though, because it can be addicting.

Big hugs to you, girl. I know how tough this is, especially in the accute withdrawal phase.
