My Norco Withdrawal and Addiction Story - Part 44

  1. Jungledog, I hear you. Loud and clear =)

I am taking less. I've been reading about kratom on the forum and learned alot. Today I took 10 grams. 5 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. I want to leave hydro alone this time. I really do. I am finding that it (kratom) does help with pain, rest, and overall comfort. I'm learning that less is more and I do believe it's better than hydro. I had a really bad headache today and I think it's because I cut down on the kratom. I'd love for this to not have to be a daily thing, but right now it is because when I try not to use it, I feel withdrawals. I hate RLS. I never really had that with hydro withdrawal, but I'm noticing it when I try not to use the kratom.

The taste of the kratom is so Fricking horrible to me. That's a good thing and allows me to only take it as needed. Thanks for the kind words. I am doing better. Glad I don't have to worry about my liver all day. Maybe one day I'll actually be substance free!

I would love to learn how go be a normal person again without believing that I need some assistance to feel happy. I think I'm moving in the right direction. I'll keep at it and use kratom as a crutch until I can move if to the back of my medicine cabinet and let it collect dust.

It sounds like you are finally getting a handle on it. My belief is kratom is better than man made opiates. It of course is not risk free but then nothing is. Keep moving forward!

    Hey there,

How are you? Just getting caught up on your journal and it looks like you took the jump but it's been a while if I read the dates correctly. What's going on? Please update everyone. I know for me, the way first two weeks during withdrawal were the weeks I was posting the most and needed support the most.

Stay strong and check in :)

I recently got an xray and an MRI that clearly shows is that I have problems in my lower discs. Monday I will be speaking to my doctors to determine what they plan to do to help me out with this issue. I'm glad that there is proof something's wrong but I'm also sad that something has to be done about it and it could be painful.

    sadbutglad,

I've read through your entire thread. Wow, your usage mirrors mine in so many ways. Going through your pills so quickly. I have been there so many times. I am currently maintaining Norco free on kratom. Can I ask how you are doing and what your situation is lately? Just reading your thread has just sparked up so much in my own life. I have my own thread as well. I hope you are well. What is the doctor going to do with the MRI results? Please be careful with surgery, as that sometimes makes things so much worse!!

    Hugs,
    Ollie

My back has numerous problems including severe arthritis, slipped vertabrae and discs. I won't bore you with my plethora of pain. As someone at my pain management told me, "Do not have back surgery unless you can't get out of bed.". He had it only to endure more pain afterwards.
