  1. Hi Hurtin again,

You are in the right place for help. DF members are an awesome source of info and provide so much support.

Sounds like you're heading in the right direction with the tapering. I would suggest with your history/injuries/pain issues you search for a Doctor that will support you throughout your taper. Do you have access to your medical notes? I think it's irresponsible of your Dr to leave you high & dry like that.

I know nothing about PNE, have any medical professionals discussed how associated pain issues will play out for you long term?

Let me know how your going mate and if you need support.. I'm here.

Take care of yourself and go slow with the taper.

I'm writing you cause we totally relate. My depression stems from 20 years of addiction and everything I destroyed in the process. I lost everything including my son. I would have him right now if not for this horrible addiction. 17 years oxy contin continues 3 years methodone at the end. I still have chills and fatigue on day 52 and I force myself to go everyday but I'm reminding myself daily of why I'm doing this. We all have reasons for wanting to do this and all the he'll we deal with in the process. A good cry helps trust me but I'm alone when I do it. I don't let people get close to me cause I'm damaged goods and am not worthy but we have to keep fighting everyday. Make the person you love the most proud of you. If my son had to live without a dad after already losing his mom I couldn't bare it. That's why I will go through hell it's all for him. If I had to live this way everyday and got to see his smile I'd do it,he's worth it. Find something to grab on to and don't let go.I hope it gets better for us both. I'm here anytime, I mean it.
