quitting opiates cold turkey- on day 3 - Part 60

    Hey there! I haven't hit a platuea yet. I am just assuming that it will come eventually. I try to only eat the starchy carbs a few times a week and on the nights before I plan to run a lot. If I am not going running then I just cut out the potatoe altogether. Sounds weird but I just do better with eating it the day before. I think its all in my head but whatever. Haha

    I figure once I hit a platuea then I'll evaluate my meals and maybe cut out some things. I try to listen to my body. Some days I am really hungry so ill add something filling like extra eggs or an extra serving of chicken. Other days, I'm not that hungry and I'll stick to salads for lunch and dinner with a protein. I just need to add the healthy things as you have suggested.

    Ive been going back through your thread and re-readimg the nutrition suggestions. There's some good stuff there

    Thanks!!! I love nutrition. I am shifting my publications into this area. I truly believe that as people move to whole foods and clean (not factory farmed) animals...health will improve. Try that watermelon smoothie. You will love it. :)

    Wow thanks Smith! That's very interesting to me. I am planning to start a proper eating plan tomorrow. I've had flu for 2 weeks and I'm not getting better, I think down to my appalling diet.

    So how much weight have you lost/plan to lose? Sorry for being so nosey. :)
    I think Nutrition is such an important area for opiate recovery. Especially for us ladies and our sabotaging hormones.

    Hi Smith, it sounds like you are doing really well! I am glad you are over your sickness, it seems to be going around.

    You eat very well! I need to start eating better as well as start exercising. I think it's a little easier in Australia to set healthy New Years resolutions because the weather is so nice. It has been miserable here. We had freezing rain the other day that was just awful. The roads were completely frozen over and the cold permeated the house. I had the heater up to 78 degrees f and it was still cold. It's not the type of weather that motivates anything except for hibernation!! Hopefully its warmer for you in Vegas. I am a tad jealous!

    Kitts, I'm glad you threw in a tomato! I would comment but your diet is eerily similar to mine!! By the time I feed the kids I am just not hungry and end up eating nothing healthy (but certainly good tasting!) I agree that good nutrition and exercise are a key to getting and staying clean. :)
