Quitting oxycodone using suboxone taper. - Part 34

  1. Hey ladies!!!

    Day 15 here and I'm feeling pretty darn good. Last night went out to a massive concert with a buddy of mine. Had some beers and Jack Daniels. All around good time. Didn't even think of opiates. Music has always been a major healer for me.

    Hey hon. I'm so glad you've started your journey. I'm humbled that my journal gave you some courage. It's always the nicest feeling knowing you've helped someone. Thanks for the kind words. I'v read your story and my heart goes out to you. I wish you a lot of strength and patience on your quest to get clean. Fentanyl is no joke.
    I feel like you're extremely brave to start this journey and i have nothing but respect for people with legitimate pain issues like yourself and JD who realize that they have a problem and take steps to get clean.
    You can do this.

    @jd

    Hey bud. I'm really happy with the progress you're making. You've come a long way since the start of your journey and I'm real proud! Keep doing what you do JD. It's working and you're soon going to emerge victorious!

    Much love.

    P.s. Thank you for the suboxone suggestion. I may just do that :). Also holy crap 6 kids! Man I cannot imagine having all those teenagers around. You're a brave and strong soul!

    Hydroxyout,

    You sound good! Awesome! Watching you succeed is really part of my ability to keep pushing my way out of this hole. It's funny that you mentioned the music as I have been listening to it non-stop all day! It does help... a lot!

    Yeah, you will be in for a heck of a ride when your boys all get to about 11...although honestly boys are so much easier than girls. I mean they break shit, fight, and get in trouble but girls are whiny ass emotional aliens. Best advice is bury them at 13 and dig back up at 21...that is about the time I started liking my daughters again. :)

    Sticking to my taper! My pain sucks but hell what can I do?? I'll keep you updated.

    Hugs,
    JD
