Quitting Oxycodone with Loperamide- My story begins... - Part 118

  1. Mel,

Vomiting occurs as the body tries to purge the bacteria or virus so although it sucks it serves a purpose. To reduce the vomiting you can try either benadryl 50 mg or dramamine 25-50 mg. These old school antihistamines are decent antiemetics in a pinch.

Food wise you can try ginger tea. Cut and peel 1 inch of ginger root. Boil in a few cups of water. Add a lot of honey as it has a strong taste but it really helps. Rest from all food until the vomiting stops. Stick to just fluids. People try to keep putting food in but the body kinda shuts off digestion when sick. This makes you more likely to just vomit again.

    Hope you feel better soon!

Mel, sorry you are not feeling good. :(.

JD, Yes, it is funny how alike we think! I will go to post something on a thread and you have said almost the identical thing :). Great minds think alike, lol! Its kinda cool, almost like sisters :).

There is a lot of psychology to support the fact that the more someone pays (and works) for an item, the greater they value it. You may feel like you are being paid well, but the job is stressing you out. If you choose to stay, you have every right to be compensated very well for your stress. How much is your stress worth? You can then use the extra money to decompress, a twice weekly massage, or a part time house cleaner (just an example of the top of my head, insert anything else in there you feel is more relevant) or something that helps make your life easier. If you stay, that extra money should be considered your money, to help you maintain a healthy life.

I was in exactly your situation at the college I was teaching. I had built the program from 33 students to over 172 students in 3 yrs. When I started, the program was being funded by other departments. When I left the program it was not only financially self supporting, but was also supporting other majors. When I left over half of the students left with me. It would have been financially smarter to just hire me full time. I was teaching 7 classes (yes, 7) as a adjunct!

I have to go down to the college this week and see if they have any classes, and I am not looking forward to that (thank you idiot ex). If they don't, then I will start calling all the other colleges that have offered me jobs over the years. Lucky, I have been blessed to have my art in every major department store, and many smaller specialty shops throughout the US. I have over 30 Christmas gift wrap designs I illustrated in WalMart alone, and that's not including all the other stuff my designs are on, including 2 instructional books I authored. I actually just started my third book this week.

Anyway, I was mainly saying that because I understand where you are with all of this. Job stuff can be really stressful. It's been nice to be able to take a 5 yr break from it all. O'well, it's back to work I go. At least I love what I do.

My son is rushing me, so sorry if there are any typo's. I will fix them when I get back. :)

    Hugs, xxoo
