    I fucking knocked myself out with Gabapentin and Clonidine and ibuprofen. Got up from my "nap" all fuzzy and shit but my pain is a bit better. What sucks about my pain is really nothing makes it better...not even the oxycodone. The opiates just make me feel a bit better and I cope with it better. That make sense? I guess I just am shooting for one month off the opiates and want to see what happens with my pain if anything.

    As for Mom, I agree Ensure isn't the ticket. It probably gives her loose stools if she drinks a lot of it. Give her a good whole food adult vitamin for starters. Just google it and you will find what you need. As for smoothie recipes just play with it and see what she likes the taste of. It is best to try to get 3 small smoothies into her throughout the day and make each a bit different so you get different nutrients.

    Here are few my little one likes:

    Banana Vanilla green smoothie

    1 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla or plain almond milk
    1 frozen banana
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp stevia
    1 tbsp. flaxseed
    1 tbsp. hemp powder (optional but great protein source for athletes or older folks who need muscle mass)
    2-3 cups raw spinach

    Almond Chocolate Smoothie
    1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
    4 dried dates
    1 frozen banana
    1/2 tsp stevia (or more sweeten to taste)
    2 tbs almond butter or 1/4 raw almonds
    1 tbsp. flaxseed
    1 tsps. hemp powder
    2-3 cups mixture of spinach and kale

    Peach Smoothie
    1 cup filtered water
    1 frozen banana
    1 tbsp. hemp powder
    2 peaches
    2-3 cups spinach, handful of collards
    1 tsp stevia
    1 tbsp. flaxseed or chia seeds

    Basic recipe for a green, vegan high nutrient smoothie for 1

    1 to 1/2 cup liquid (filtered water, almond milk...avoid soy milk unless organic it is GMO)
    1 frozen banana (makes it creamy and sweet)
    1 tbps fat (1/2 an avocado, flaxseed, chia seed...sometimes I use all 3)
    1 pinch of seaweed (I use dulse mostly...very high nutrient and you don't taste it)
    2-4 cups of greens (rotate them...spinach is tastless and smooth but you really need to rotate...I use kale, collards, swiss chard, sprouts, romaine)
    1 tsp or more of stevia to sweeten
    or pitted dates
    1 cup of frozen fruit
    1/4 cup raw nuts (cashews are tasteless and smooth)
    1 tbps of hemp powder

    BLEND!!! (Blend the fats and greens and nuts first until completely smooth in the liquid then add the frozen fruits)

    Hey JD, how are you? I'm sorry you're sick but I am happy to hear that you are slowly getting better. Sprinkle in withdrawals symptoms and I can imagine you're having a tough time. I am incredibly proud of you. You're doing so well. I appreciate the support you have lent to others within the opiate journals. You have such a wealth of knowledge and it's greatly appreciated on my end.

    I'm on day 13. Had some troubles last night with cravings and came close to relapsing. But, made it through the night luckily and today I feel better. I am still having an erratic body temperature, low motivation, etc. My body is still emitting toxins as I have a weird smell coming from my sweat, etc. It's nothing I'm not familiar with but it's annoying and I hope to be rid of it soon. I've had some stomach issues too. Food hasn't quite sat right with me. I'm sticking with lots of salads and obstaining from meat for now, just eggs. I don't really cook so I try and eat as healthy as I can. Anyhow, I will update my thread with more "me" information. I don't want to take away from your thread with my bs.

    Anyways, keep on fighting. You're doing splendid my friend. I know it feels like it's an uphill battle but remember where there's a hill, there's a valley. You can make it through all of this. I'm here for you and if I was in your town I'd take you to lunch and give you a great big hug!
