Quitting Oxycodone with Loperamide- My story begins... - Part 160

By Jungledog · Dec 25, 2014 · ·
  1. Merry Christmas all! It is 4 am and I am wide awake. Ugh. Just took valerian and clonidine. Hoping that will get me a few more hours of sleep.

Had a nice Eve with my family. Kids loved their gifts. I think I drank too much wine and it broke my sleep as sleep has been pretty good. I miss waking up rested though. That never happens.

Anyhow, Cymbalta seems to lift my mood. My pain has been ok. I do feel tired but I always feel tired. It sucks.

I hope everyone has a great holiday!!!! Have a very Merry Christmas!

I'm glad to read you're doing so much better now than just a few days ago! My heart was aching for you when you first posted about starting Cymbalta. The trial and error involved in finding the right answer for you can be frustrating and difficult, so I'm glad you've got a handle on it. And then since you know how Lexapro has worked for you in the past (and that Lexapro was derived from Cymbalta), it seems like you've got it signed, sealed, and delivered. You've handled the bad days between starting the Cymbalta and now with courage, honesty, strength, and grace. It's been amazing to watch and I'm cheering for you.

I know you felt down on yourself, but you I'm glad that you're starting to find your way out of that dark territory. Not only do you have so much stuff on your plate between detoxing, AI, your kids, the stuff with your husband, school, and the interview (which you've been handling like a champ!!); but you've also fought so hard and you haven't given up or thrown in the towel. It's inspiring, honestly. The inner strength and resiliency you've demonstrated are beautiful, rare things which you should be proud of.

I found it frustrating how major depression, PTSD, and anxiety would trigger each other until it felt like I was stuck in a vicious spiral, an oroborous wrapped around my neck. Finding a way to stop one from escalating so that I could deal with all of them was a huge undertaking. I hope you find your key to undoing those snares and that they don't get worse for you. I'm sure the pain makes it exponentially harder than what I dealt with, so my heart goes out to you there especially.

Anyhow, I hope that your Christmas is relaxing and just what you need. It's awesome that you got to spend some time with your family Christmas Eve and hopefully you'll get more time with them today, too. Merry Christmas, Jungledog!!
