Quitting Oxycodone with Loperamide- My story begins... - Part 227

  1. Yeah honestly I surprised too. But I did taper the gabapentin over a week. The cymbalta I have not been on very long and when I stopped Lexapro before I had no withdraw even after taking for one year but I know others do. I get withdraw from gabapentin if I stop abruptly.

What really surprised me was the oxycodone. I also was able to just take 15 mg at a time which is way better than the 50-60 I used to take. When I resumed kratom I expected to have to go up on the dose but was able to go down. I want off all this shit. I can take the first two weeks of May off.

Ok just got off the phone with a colleague who is a GI doctor. She will scope me but basically told me it is not an ulcer but either a gastric oulet issue or a paralysis of the GI tract so basically food just sits. This can be related to diabetes. I will know about my sugar after my labs but I know I have insulin issues so perhaps this is all diabetes. Made me feel a little better but generally people lose weight with diabetes when sugar goes wonky.

I am planning 2 mission trips to South America. I need to be off the opiates. I do not want the hassle of dealing with it when traveling. It is incentive to stop. My pain management plan? Suffer. There really is no other plan. I am already doing the alternative options!!!

The diabetes adds a whole new twist to the mix. Hopefully it's just a matter of regulating everything.

I want off everything too so that's why I'm accelerating my kratom taper. The withdrawal is killing me but I don't care. I know I did the same thing with oxycodone. Once I make up my mind there's not stopping the speed of my tapers. Again I will say kratom withdrawals are nothing compared to oxycodone. Plus I want to see if my energy levels and weight loss improve once I'm off.

Okay hang in there JD and please let us know how it goes tomorrow.

Wow JD, this sounds potentially serious. I hope it can all be resolved soon. I can understand why your husband would be worried. Let us know when your scope is scheduled. I am praying for you.

Ok. Saw my NP who is also a close friend. My abdominal exam was abnormal. My RUQ and gastric area percuss really dull and my stomach feels oddly shaped. It could be liver, gallbladder, stomach. Going to get an abdominal ultrasound somewhere (need to find a place near home). She did blood so in a few days maybe I have some answers. I need to be scoped. Ugh.
