Quitting Oxycodone with Loperamide- My story begins... - Part 233

By Jungledog · Mar 10, 2015 · ·
  1. Actually no withdrawal. Gabapentin covered it. Ultrasound looked normal to me as she did it except I still had water sitting in my stomach from last night. I think this is gastroparesis but I don't know why.

Let me know how you do with big doses of gabapentin. Proud of you.

Oh and I am down 6 pounds!!! Benadryl had to be part of the problem. Weight now coming off steady! Woo hoo!!!

glad your ultrasound was good. and congrats on the weight loss. i think it was more like benadryl and vomiting. ;)

i am in dire straits - took my second dose of gabapentin - 1200 mg a few hours ago. i think i'm going to have to take another dose before bed. do you think that's ok? by then it will still only be 3600 mg for the day total.

my damn pain doctor wouldn't give me the gabapentin back when I told them i was going off the oxycodone. so i ordered it from an online pharmacy. but now i'm running really low - at the rate these withdrawals are going i will run out tomorrow day 3. that pisses me off so bad. they said they never heard of gabapentin being used. get with the program people. rehabs are using it all the time.

ok i'm in pain and i'm venting so that's all for now. thank you jd for your help and suggestions. i'll check in later i'm sure. thank God for this forum that's all i have to say. it has been a godsend.

Hey JD, this is going to be quick but I just wanted to check in on you and see how you're feeling. I hope all is ok. Glad you've lost some weight as I know it's important to you. Keep up the good work my friend. You'll get there. I hope nothing is wrong with you and you get a clear bill of health. I know you work so hard and have so much going on. I worry about you.

Sorry I haven't been active on your thread. i have been dealing with a lot and haven't been on DF that much. Plus I mostly stick to the recovery section these days. I just don't really care to read about the active heroin users. it's just triggering and I don't want it around my life.

I'm thinking of you and you've been one of my biggest supporters. I want you to know that I am here for you too. Take care of yourself. Love to you and yours!
