Quitting Oxycodone with Loperamide- My story begins... - Part 264

By Jungledog · Apr 29, 2015 · ·
  1. I teach health administration students, medical students, undergraduate nursing students and NP students! I hold a really cool academic position. In the summer, I teach private 12 lead courses to NPs and PAs and to other local university's NP and PA programs. They literally pay me $500/hr to teach this because nobody freaking knows how to properly read an EKG. It is a very good gig.

Well late for clinic. Catch up later!!!

JDog, Man, what an awesome job you have. I wish someone would pay me $500 to do ANYTHING. Except prostitution. Well maybe if it was 5K. No, couldn't do it. I am not wired for that haha. Maybe for all the expert information I have on loperamide. haha.

Am proud of you and glad for you in your success. You deserve it!

    Much love GB

Sounds like you're in good hands JD. I bet you'll be feeling so much better once you heal from the surgery.

Do you think taking opiates destroys our gall bladder? I'm still nauseous after 7 weeks off the drugs which my Dr thinks is gastritis, but she said if I'm not better when i go back for follow up she's checking my gall bladder. UGH. Maybe I destroyed my stomach (or gall bladder) from all the years of Advil, Aleve, NSAIDs etc. etc. I have no idea but this is getting real old. Not sure how many more scrambled eggs I can eat.

Do you think opiates can cause gall bladder failure? (I can't think of another word for it). Or chronic gastritis?

    Hugs to you girl.

No. I do not think there is a link. Gallbladders commonly go bad in women in their 40s and 50s. There is also a genetic component which is why you see women all from the same family lose their gallbladders. Sorry you feel so shitty. I am right there with you.

thank you for the info jd -- your knowledge means so much to me since i respect your information a whole lot more than my own doctors. they never get it like you do.

i am so sorry you're not feeling well -- i hope you can take some time by the ocean to recuperate once they take it out. nothing more healing than that - as you know.

love to you - hang in there.
