The leg shit is soooo annoying! The best thing I have found to relieve it is a REALLY hot bath with Epsom salts. Works good.
Just read about green smoothies and you should find what you are looking for. All unsaturated oils mutate with high heat. People get all confused about what is good and what is bad. The easy way to think of it is cook with saturated fat only which is solid at cool temperatures (coconut & butter). The problem with butter is it burns at high temps so I usually use coconut oil. Good fats are anything NOT cooked or raw...so avocadoes, raw nuts, cold pressed oils, flax seeds. You actually should put olive oil or avocado on your salads because the nutrients in greens are better absorbed in the presence of fat. And make your own dressings; NEVER use the processed salad dressings at the store. Read the ingredients; known carcinogens in them. Fat has been maligned in this country. We need fat. When we went low fat, our obesity epidemic picked up speed. Why? Because when you remove fat, the only thing left to put back is protein and carbs.
WHO (World Health Organization) says we really only need 10% protein (which interestingly enough is the average amount of protein in many plants) but here in the US we exceed 30-40% of our diet in protein. Excess protein acts to worsen inflammation. Inflammation is now becoming known to be the underlying cause of most chronic diseases such as cancer or diabetes. And most of the carbs have been replaced with processed sugar and genetically modified wheat. You are craving sugar now because it lights up the same spot in your brain that opiates do. Get your sweet fix from fruit. Not juice...the whole fruit so you get the fiber.
Yes, kratom can help with pain. As it does not get me high AT ALL, it is a viable option for me for pain management. But I probably won't because I want off all this shit. Really. I just want done.
