These are the cigarette warning labels Canada plans to replace the old ones with. Despite the harsh home-hitting photos of Canada's current, and soon to be old ones, the new labels will feature 16 intense, and emotionally powerful pictures and messages. The warnings are also going to be required to cover 75% of the pack. That's a 25% increase from the current 50%. This will place Canada 2nd behind Uruguay who requires 80% to be covered. I found a few warnings particularly disturbing. One of which was a guy maybe a bit older than me, around 25, getting helped to the washroom out of his wheelchair by a special care worker. The message: "A stroke can leave you helpless." Here are 10 of the 16 planned for June of 2012. Fair warning, some pictures are graphic, and some of can be emotionally distressing for sensitive users.
