This store is the one I mostly go to in Anchorage. I live closer to downtown and so have numerous choices within walking distance but I’ve found this store to be exceptionally good in various ways. First, I like the layout and atmosphere. It’s tastefully done and you feel secure. There is a front part you come into first, where they sell various things like pipes, bongs, etc, and it’s here you will be immediately approached by staff who will ask for your ID...and then you’re allowed to proceed into the inner part of the store where the marijuana products are on display, and where you’ll be ID’d again before sales...and it’s here that I have my only gripe, and why my rating isn’t full 5 star...it’s the only store that does this, most others only ask you once for your ID, usually just before or after the sale. But this really is a small annoyance to bear once you proceed into the store proper, for now you can really hang out and take a look at the wonderful wares on display in glass cases and a full menu is on two large flat screen displays along with prices and specials. The staff are awesome and friendly, and really try to give you personal attention and I’ve never been made to feel rushed when taking time to decide. They don’t mind opening samples of different products and letting you have a smell and look. This makes for a really pleasant buying experience. This store can be a tad higher in price or not have the crazy specials others put on, but you won’t get this kind of attention and atmosphere either. Also, the variety is always very good, and they feature award winning strains of weed, as well as concentrates like oil, shatter etc and edibles. Overall it’s a great store with nice people. They are open til midnight every day which is great. Do be aware that parking can be a problem at this location as it’s smack dab downtown. There’s another GNC on the other side of town on Dimond blvd that has a big parking lot.
