I only went to Harmony house to look around and get a feel for it to see if it would be a suitable secondary care after leaving Claro clinic, though I have met a vast number of people who have been there and apart from the "No sugar" and other strict dietary rules, most say it was a wonderful experience though on the pricey side for local South Africans and therefore has a high percentage of foreign patients. It is a beautiful property and I would place it a step or 2 below some of the other clinics, for example Claro, but at the same time I would also place it far, far above some of the treatment facilities in the lower price brackets which I have either attended or heard about over the course of this past year. I did end up going to the, until recently, Harmony owned and affiliated tertiary care Serendipity which left me with a slight bias toward having a distaste for all their affiliates. In objective fairness - 80% of ex patients swear by it, a small number do not, this is especially and alarmingly true of ex-staff members. Over-all it is a top of the range facility, but personally I would opt for something else for that price bracket.
Dear Drugs-Forum readers: We are a small non-profit that runs one of the most read drug information & addiction help websites in the world. We serve over 4 million readers per month, and have costs like all popular websites: servers, hosting, licenses and software. To protect our independence we do not run ads. We take no government funds. We run on donations which average $25. If everyone reading this would donate $5 then this fund raiser would be done in an hour. If Drugs-Forum is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online another year by donating whatever you can today. Donations are currently not sufficient to pay our bills and keep the site up. Your help is most welcome. Thank you.
