Of course they can. Many psychoactives can cause psychotic episodes, esp those dopaminergic or serotonergic activities. Piperazines increase the activity of both. People should be cautious when trying new substances, esp when they are from a class they haven't yet tried. And combining those pills with marijuana greatly increase the psychedelic tinge of the piperazines.

That is a bold statement after just one case study. Especially since there is a good motive to blame the drug for criminal offence done.
Sorry I set your house on fire man. It was those damn party pills!
I'd love to read the first hand account of the psychotic experience of this 20-year-old man.

Well, if one does sth on a drug, this doesn't mean he is not responsible for this. You are always responsilbe for your actions no matter on what drug you are.

SWIM himself got psychotic from BZP, amphs and weed in large amount. He just could hardly bear the ovehwhelming paranoia and thoughts that everybody he thought about has made plans with other people. There were many plans made up by different people in his head. He was hearing different strange sounds constantly in his head. They were like sounds coming from flying saucers. He had visual effects, too, but was feeling very paranoid. All dopaminergic stimulants can do this.
