    Hi,

Some kid down the street ordered Bali crushed leaf from a store, and they sent him Red Vein Indo crushed leaf instead, same quantity, just different leaf. He is wondering if they ripped him off with a lesser quality leaf, or if there is any difference at all?

Can anyone share their opinion or experiences with either leaf and if this kid should file a complaint because maybe he got the lesser of the two leaves?

    Appreciated,

Hard to say which is better, but it's not honest to advertise one type and send another.

The kid thinks its an honest mistake since the reputable seller has the 2 items listed in the same catagory, or something like that. He says the item is clearly marked with the contents so it could have been that the seller grabbed the wrong bag and sent it.

I don't think it's a matter of one being better, but it seems some people are affected differently by the different types of kratom. A friend of mine is unaffected by anything but Bali, while another seems to experience greater effects from everything but Bali. So it may be a matter of luck.

The Bali is considered more sedative while the RVI more uplifting, at similar doses anyways.
EDIT to the op: Id complain just for the simple fact that swiyou should be able to get the Bali for free.

    This.

There is definitely a lot of variety between different accounts of Kratom experiences, and the herb does affect different people in different ways (and I need to think of a different word for "different" in different applications for the sakes of some differences here!).

The Good Knight, for what it's worth, finds Bali to be sedating and highly euphoric. However, it does have the side effect of causing strong nausea. He needs about 12-15 grams or so to get nicely spacey, but at that does it is simply guaranteed that he'll be puking his guts out for 5 hours straight. In fact, even at a 5 gram threshold dose there is considerable nausea. That, unfortunately, makes Bali completely useless to him.

Red Vein Indo is very different. It's almost completely devoid of euphoria. It is stimulating rather than sedating, and packs a nice case of the jitters - sort of like downing one too many cups of very strong coffee. It still has the opioid painkilling effect, which, for our brave knight, is worth the price of admission alone, and unlike Bali it doesn't cause much nausea.

Maeng Da has been the clear winner though, at least in his experience. It's stimulating like Red Vein Indo but without the jitters, and it is euphoric like Bali but without the nausea. It's not as strong as it's made out to be - it's about 1.5X the potency of Bali at most. However, it's cleaner, less drowsy, faster acting though also shorter lasting, and just generally all-around nicer. Of course, it's also much more expensive, but as the wise man said: "Cheap, no good! Good, no cheap!"

But then, you have a lot of SWIMs that didn't get pretty much any euphoria from Maeng Da at all and consider it a waste of money.

    Go figure...

Im sure Mr. Crowley would be very thankful for your input, but since he has not logged on since 20-12-2008 its unlikely he will read it. ;)

Be careful to take not of the date in the thread, bumping old threads without adding something to make it worthwile only clutters up the forum.
