First of all, forgive SWIM if he posted in the wrong section, he wasn't able to find a forum for this type of question.

Second, SWIM broke his hand yesterday when he got mad. He's going to the doctor's tomorrow and wants to get pain killers/opiates to help him feel better. SWIM's doctor hardly ever prescribes above those ridiculous ass Ibuprofens that seem like they'd kill your liver in one dose. Would there be any way for SWIM to get any recreational pills?

What about visiting some other doctor?

This is the only answer I came over without making my post contradict the rules.

    Understandable about the rules.

SWIM was considering it, but he told me that his town is relatively small and not too many are available within a decent drive, which again isn't really available considering his car is a manual. Go figure, right?

usually the Dr. shouldn't have a problem prescribing opiates such as oxycodone or hydrocodone for broken bones verified with an xray

Some people have been know to shoot themselves in the foot with a gun, pull out their own teeth, or anything else to cause pain for opiates.

If SWIY is the 2nd person, then the Dr. may not be willing to prescribe anything very strong or a large amount if SWIY has been blacklisted or whatever reason.

If not, it shouldn't be an issue to get the proper medication for something from an accident and not self inflicted
