SWIM has been shooting up in the typical bend in my elbow. It has gotten to the point now that there is a bump and a long scab. Anyone want to help SWIM make a list of tips/tricks to cover up trackmarks or areas to shoot without people seeing? SWIMMERS can list the obvious and the not so obvious. SWIM thinks it would be best to number them. Like so:

    1. Put a couple scrungies where the bend/injection site is.

    2. Shoot in an area no one sees (maybe people can point out some good areas/veins).

    3. Wear long sleeves and if it is 100 degrees try wearing shear long sleeves if it makes sense with the outfit.

    4. Use cover up. (Ladies, got any tips to not make it look so awful and purple?!)

    1) Heh, well as everyone knows, SWIM is a proponent of 31 gauge and shooting tiny finger and knuckle veins. They don't leave tracks and they last forever people!

    2) Also, SWIM recommends Bare Minerals brush concealer. It is excellent for perfect concealment of blemishes on the face, and for covering up those irksome trackmarks! And it not only does not clog pores, but is healthy for the skin and promotes healing as well! (maybe) Best of all, it's lightest color is actually the same color as the Heroin Ivory skintone (the lightest skin color known to man, lighter than albino even), which, as we all know, is almost impossible to find in a concealer! Like OMGZ people!

I don't like to encourage lying but... Swiy could wear elbow supports and plead tendonitis. The good thing about this is that tendonitis can be chronic and last years, or even a lifetime.

SWIM has been regularly buying crack along with his heroin, and using citric to dissolve the crack and make speedballs for the past 3 weeks (maybe .20 - .40 CC of citric in each 1 CC needle), and hasn't noticed any difference in his finger veins, which he had also been shooting for about 6 months straight (then a 2 months break, then daily again for the past month and a half).

How long did it take for SWIY's to disappear from doing that?

Swim has used a few approaches to minimize the appearance of tracks, such as:

-Like DT mentioned, concealer is an excellent technique once you find the right color.

-Swim finds that concealer works better if you first take a warm soapy washcloth and gently scrub off the scabs, this will make the concealer go on smoothly. This can also be used by itself, it makes a surprisingly big difference.

-Rotate your injection sites. You will have considerably less marking if you don't frequently reuse the same area.

-Swim has also used a big fat vein which runs vertically along the inside of his right ankle. The only problem is that it takes a bit longer to hit you. Swiy should look into other places 'off the beaten path'.

-And of course, skin care. Swiy should frequently apply triple antibiotic ointment or some other 'healing' ointment or lotion, this will speed healing and minimize scarring.

Using one or several of these techniques in conjunction should significantly help out swiy with his track problem.

SwiDT, I'm curious. You've been injecting only in your fingers daily over a period of many months and you have no noticeable blemishes at all? 31 gauge or not, Swim can't see how this is possible.

SWIM has a couple dots total, slightly larger than the circumference of the needle tip, on a couple of his knuckles. They are so insignificant it would be really weird for someone to be like "Hey what is that tiny dot on your knuckle?"

On that note...swim has dozens of tiny dot like scars on his knuckles. When he was a teenager and had a difficult time controlling his rage and after having to repair a few holes in the wall he learn to punch less destructible things...like brick walls and trees.

Of course...that explanation probably only works for scars and might not convey the desired impression to people...

Then again it might...they tend to stop asking questions after that...

SwiDT is lucky, and must have mad skills with a dart. Swim notices that anyone who shoots in a certain area with any frequency always experience some bruising around the site, even those who use ultra-fine tips.

That is definitely true in the top of the hands, wrists, arms, chest, legs, feet. For some reason just those tiny finger, knuckle and palm veins don't leave bruises - it's not the gauge either, just something about the area. SWIM actually has been having to use 28 gauge about 95% of the time on his fingers and knuckles for the past couple months (because that's what they give away for free at the exchange), but SWIM adapted and can use them just as good, even though they are much less preferred. Actually buying 31 gauge is like a "treat" to SWIM now.

Mine disappear after a few times even using the finest needle gauge. Then again as pacman uses a half teenth a time he needs to use a lot of citric!!!

No bruising in finger veins. Worthy of note.

As for Swims tips: Already mentioned but Rotating/Alternating Swiys injection sites is important. But learn how to shoot ambidextrous! This pretty much doubles Swiys options.

Use a brand new needle every time. This is important for health reasons, but also one would be suprised how much more damage a used needle does to the skin and vein. More damage=more visual evidence. Not always an option, but try.

These are swims only new pieces of advice. Other cosmetic options have already been presented. Just remember though the longer swiys shoots, even with frequent rotating, the visual evidence accumulates and becomes more permanent.

Seen this done by a few people, never did suspect they where shooters at the time. Cowboy used a ace bandage with the misses, which happen very rarely.
One guy he knew had a tattoo in his favorite shooting spot of a ladybug with red and purple dots..

LOL not at all... SWIM was hanging out with his girl friends and gay friends one night and was all fucked up, and they were like "you gotta try this Bare Minerals concealer it is the best" ... and they got SWIM to order like $100 worth of it while he was totally smashed drunk and coked up... then later they were like "oh shit, sorry to get you to do that!" later on, but SWIM like like, don't apologize, this shit is awesome! With that crap you could have half your face burned off and make it practically look like you have model quality skin in like 10 minutes.

The best part about it was that after SWIM started using it on the couple blemishes he had, after a couple days he didn't even need to use it again for weeks or months. Don't know if it has some healing power or something.

SWIM is not at all apologetic about his vain tendencies, or "metrosexuality" or whatever they call it. He uses a straight iron when he has long hair, manicures/pedicures himself, plucks, constantly lotions, occassionally paints his toes (and maybe fingers if he can get away with it like at Halloween), uses concealer the occasional times he needs it, etc. There's a lot of other lines he would probably cross if he was totally financially independent and didn't need to be a supplicant to society. :( Dunno - SWIM just is inherently drawn to doing anything against "normal people" pretty much; especially if it makes him look good, and ... well SWIM likes having girl friends, and having some in the category that want to have sex with SWIM, but he doesn't have sex with them and there is constantly some tension there which is fun to play with. Heheh, don't know if that makes sense.

Heheh, SWIM just speedballed like 5 seconds ago and feels all hyper typing this - this one was a little heavy on the coke/crack if you can't tell by all the weird shit SWIM is typing. LOL :)

Haha congrats on the speedball, sounds soooo good. Swim agrees and does a lot to make himself look good too that a average guy wouldn't.
