I got a roll of 10 weed candies from the Cannabis Club. I sucked on two of them, and after an hour only felt tired. I sucked on the remaining eight, and freaked out. The experience lasted fourteen hours (at which point I went to bed... it probably would have lasted longer had I stayed awake), during which I hallucinated on several occasions. One time, I looked at a field of trees and they seemed to bleed towards the sky. The other time, I was talking to a friend and her face looked rearranged likea Picasso painting. I was extremely hungry, but when I ate, I was unable to swallow properly. There was dry food stuck in my throat for about an hour.

Scary experience, it's kind of turned me off pot. The packet said it contained .2 grams of cannabis oil. Has anyone ever eaten this much weed?

That is messed up man. Weed shouldn't make you hallucinate like that. So theres actually weed candy being sold and marketed? Sweet.

Yeah, you just need a Cannabis Club card... The packet listed "hallucinations" as one of the side effects... perhaps it was just a ridiculously large dose?

Cannabis causes hallucinations in large quanitites. I personally have fantastic visuals at relatively low amounts.

When you eat, it's got to digest first.

When I smoke a joint, I can feel its effects in a few seconds. When I eat a joint (or THC-laced candy), I have to wait quite a while to feel it (30 minutes ... 45 minutes).

Based on my experience, I imagine punkanini was underwhelmed by the not-yet-present effects of the 2 candies. Not knowing that the THC was still waiting to kick in (after all, good things happen to those who wait), he wolfed down 8 more.

I can speak from experience, 10 of those candies is a WHOLE bunch.

Then, he learned the other lesson about eating THC: It lasts a lot longer than when you smoke it. I can feel it for 10 hours myself.

And, another lesson: Smoked pot reaches a peak in 15 to 45 minutes. The eating peak can be several hours away.

And, yet another: Eaten THC is much more psychedelic than smoked pot. I have had some good times with it (of course, I took it with that expectation in mind).

Experimenting with new drugs is just that: An Experiment. Some times it works well ... some times lousy things happen. I just rack it up to experience (after I recover, anyway).

It would be NICE if someone would write a book, explaining exactly how I will feel with each drug (and alternate way of delivery). But I am different, my body, my mind, my spirit. Each of these affects the effects.

technically it is for medical marijuana but the canbis club is wildly
corrupt. basically, you go to a shady doctor in oakland, tell him you
have chronic pain, he signs a thing, and you get a card.

Thanks for your input guys! I think I actually might go get a cannabis club card now that you mentioned it... I do have chronic wrist pain from a 2 year old break. Any idea where to start doctor-wise?

Well, let's see...you ate 2 grams of cannabis oil! The effects you describe
    sound about right.

I never have gotten much off of these lollipops. I'd try the 10 at a time
thing myself, but that's a bit expensive. The baked goods they sell are
    much more effective, I've found.

Nope. [IMG] I only know about things in the SF Bay
    area, which is why I
    asked.

$150 sounds about right. Around here, the clinics
    which host doctors
making recommendations, and some doctors also,
    often advertise in
arts-weekly and other such newspapers. I'd ecpect
    those to be the most
    profit-driven and expensive.

I found this link for you which will probably be quite
    helpful:

Eh, I did one better...here's a list of doctors in CA
    who will recommend
    cannabis for patients:

My apologies, I figured this would be borderline and should have asked
    first.

oh, well thanks anyway! I got it as soon as you posted it. Things are looking promising, seeing as there's a doctor all of two miles from my house.
