    Every recipe for CannaButter requires the weed be heated by a stove, into the butter...

    Well...

    All I have is an oven, hahah.

    Is there a way SWIM can just turn up the oven real high, and put the weed and the butter in there? Or some other method. I need this butter done today, so a quick response to BOTH of my new threads would be very helpful.

    Thank you.

    So now I have poured water in the pot, put it in the oven, let it get really hot, added butter, it melted into it, added 1/2 oz of green, turned temperature down.

    SWIM sees that the butter is clear? This is not bad new right? When refridgerated, the butter will appear once again right? I will just leave the bud in the butter for about 30 minutes, resting on a nice simmer. Is SWIM on the right track?

    I dont know about pouring water in with the butter, and turning the heat down.

    If the butter doesnt work, dont throw away your weed (if it didnt solve, its still useful).

    Whenever you alter a recipe and start fucking with the ingredients or the cooking process, you stand to fuck-up your results.

    As long as you have enough time, money, and patience to piss away on experimentation, I say, go for it.

    Please tell me that you didn't add the butter to the hot water, rather you maybe melted the butter in another pot sitting in the hot water.......

    I think you lack the ability to follow instructions or grasp the concept of whats going on here.....I hope I'm wrong but I think I'm right on both counts....

    And you do not need two threads for this.....your other one is now closed

    Dummy-down the steps . . . extract your THC in room-temp oil.

    THC (and Cannabinoids) have a natural attraction to oil. Many CannaButter recipes have you boiling the oil. Well, the hotter the oil is, the quicker the THC will migrate into it.

    For instruction-impaired users, however, there is a simple fool-proof method:
    1) Grind-up the Pot;
    2) Pour a couple ounces of Vegetable Oil in a bowl;
    3) Toss-in the Pot;
    4) Leave the Pot in the Oil for a couple days;
    5) Filter-out the plant material;
    6) You have CannaButter (or CannaOil, the same, but different).
