There are comments on Corydalis root (and one of its active ingredients THP) in another thread, which is known in Chinese medicine as Yan Hu Suo, as a sleep aid, which make it sound interesting.

Apparently it does have a history of use in China for:

Does any one have any more experiences?

Yes. SWIM finds it to be a good sleep aid for occasional use. It does not seem to have a bad hangover, and 200 mg of thp will knock a SWIM out. In combination with passionflower and red poppy petal extracts, it knocks SWIMs out even faster.
No recreational potential at all, even when combined with other substances. its actions are similar to antipsychotics SWIM thinks (ie - decrease dopamine).

How does SWISnapper consume the THP? Has he tried any alternative methods of ingestion and if so, how did dosage / potency vary?

SWIm tried snorting THP crystals (50mg) after reading about it on another forum and found the same effects and kicked in quicker. SWIM's otherwise used extracts only, not the whole root, usually about 200 mg give or take dissolved in water or in gelcaps. Apparently it is a good painkiller too, but no recreational effects.

Swim used to take between 100-150mg of THP for sleeping or physical pain. He just swallowed the powder.
It is very powerfull, but, like Snapper said, no recreational effects.

Swim found 200mg oral a bit on the heavy side, he nodded off within an hour.
Best sleep he has had in a long time. Seemed to lack the stone of other opiates he has tried though.

What could add some euphoria to this? Cannabis?
