Could Adderall XR be easily made into regular Adderall?

    Wikipedia's entry on Adderall states:

My question is this: if pulverized Adderall XR were to be put into solution and left to dissolve for at least four hours, would the slow-release particles have dissolved into the solution by then, or would they have to be first gradually metabolized by the body?

I am assuming that pulverized Adderall XR does not release concurrently to regular pulverized Adderall. If am in error in this matter, please correct me.

Just open it up, dump out the beads, and crush em up real fine like. And Boom, got yourself some adderall IR, in powder form of course. This could be taken orally, insuffulated, mixed with a drink, or shoved up your butt. Whatever way you choose.

Actually, I used to wonder the same things about dissolving time-release meds. Particularly Concerta, although I guess that belongs in another thread.
