Hey y'all, SWIM knows that in some other countries besides Big Brother USA, of which he is a citizen, that T1's (8-10mg codeine per 300mg APAP, if he understands it correctly) can be had over the counter. Are there any other countries where other or stronger opiates can be found OTC?

dihydrocodeine is available in japan OTC, but its combined with APAP, antihistamines, and possibly a pseudoephedrine-like drug as well. so thats not reccomended. SWIM has read about places in asia and central america where they can be found in pharmacies and purchased, but he does not know it this is because they are OTC or because the pharmacists have a loose idea of what constitutes a prescription.

Codeine phosphate (with ibuprofen) is sold in Ireland and the UK OTC in Nurofen Plus headache pills. 12.8mg a pill in a packet of 12 or 24 if SWIM remembers correctly. Watch out for the ibuprofen though. It's better to extract this before attempting any recreational dosage. There may be several other opiate-containing OTC products but SWIM hasn't researched the market thoroughly enough.

Yes, a cold-water extraction would be highly advisable on any product containing aspirin or APAP. It should probably work on ibuprofen also, given that 1 gram of codeine dissolves in 30 mL water, but 1 gram of ibuprofen would dissolve in 595 mL water. However SWIM has never tried a CWE on ibuprofen containing products, he'd want someone to report that it actually works, or to test it out CAREFULLY, before using a large dose.

SWIM has heard there is a morphine containing preparation in the UK as well that is OTC, but that it contains an atropine alkaloid or some other nasty ingredient that makes it unsuitable, and actually dangerous, for recreational purposes.

Canada sells some sort of codeine/acetaminophen pill otc. Not sure about the exact numbers, but it shouldn't matter if swiy does a cold water extraction. New Zealand too, for sure. As far as Swim knows most Western countries sell codeine pills otc, and even in some states in the US (not sure on which ones) they're sold otc, but they keep a log.

The irony of course is that the US military in Afghanistan turns a blind eye to opium production, when it accounts for 92% of the world's source of illicit opium.

Canada sells pills containing 8 mg codeine, 300(?) mg APAP, and 15 mg caffeine. A cold water extraction could be done on these, but the caffeine could be an issue in large doses. SWIM definitely noticed an unpleasant speedy feeling and tightness in the chest after extraction and ingestion of 10 of these pills. SWIM would reccomend trying to find something else without caffeine. CWE does not get rid of it.

There are many ironies in the whole Afghanistan opium situation. SWIM thinks there is a huge thread about this somewhere in the opiates forum, with alot of articles on the topic, if you ever want to check it out and contribute to it, zera! You sound like you would have some good input to add to it.

swim says that CWE does work on the nurofen+ UK caplets

its much gloopier and harder to filter than paracetamol/acetaminophen tho so that kind of product is preferable

    cheers

    Other OTC products available include,

Solpadeine - contains 8mg codeine phosphate, 500mg APAP and 3mg of caffeine

Feminax - contains 8mg Codeine and 500mg APAP (used to contain hyoscamine and caffeine, this was apparently changed in March 2006. Anyone planning to use this product recreationally is advised to double check the ingredients to be sure it is not old stock)

Codinex Linctus - contains codeine 3mg/ml

Dimotane - contains codeine but also brompheniramine maleate and pseudoephedrine. Unsuitable for recreational use.

Uniflu - contains codeine but also paracetamol, diphenhydramine, phenylephrine and caffeine. Unsuitable for recreational use.

SWIM has tried the CWE for those ibuprofen and codeine-containing pills on numerous occasions and it seems to work rather effectively. That being said he rarely surpasses the 150mg codeine mark. SWIM never takes more than about 150mg because he doesn't want to become reliant on opiates, or even build up a considerable tolerance for that matter.

SWIF posted a little time ago about this, Kaolin morphine mixture. Difficult to seperate the Kaolin from the morphine though and consuming a recreational level of morphine would require ingesting some much Kaolin one would be very very ill.

In some Central American countries Swim says the almost all perscriptions are otc-like. They have Pherntermine, others. But what SWIM liked was the 30mg Codine tabs that came in a box for about no monies. When someone asked for a perscription SWIM showed them the empty box, and they sold SWIM a new one. In tourists areas most "drug-stores" sold everything without any question. SWIM enjoyed the peragoric, although it tasted awful. As for Ketamine, SWIM has heard that it is OTC in Mexico from a person who got some there. All SWIY would have to do is make up some story about your goat, they don't really seem to care SWIM heard.

Collis Browns was a heady mix of opium, morphine in a cough linctus. Gees Linctus (only from Boots the Chemists) was also interesting. Once knew a guy who would drink 4 bottles of Collis a day... Tastes a bit disgusting at first but if you're someone trying to avoid the turkey and have no alternative then its valid.

Swim is having this same problem with those exact pills. Swim finds that doses in excess of 200mg of codiene start becoming unpleasant because of the large amount of caffeine present. This coming from a daily user of caffeine.

After some point, the caffeine would get dangerous too, so these pills arent reccomended for someone with a large tolerance.

Has everyone forgot about the obvious? Americas next door neighbor Mexico? SWIM has never been himself but heard stories that just about anything is OTC south of the border. Didn't get to read entire thread so if someone else has already made this observation I apologize.
