I know a guy who has been living in Peru for quite some time and from what he has told me the only difference is the potency. The biggest problem he tells me is that each slate can be wildly different in potency. The 10mg diazepam and the 0.5 mg alprazolam do contain the active compound but as they are so generically manufactured even swallowing them can be a problem as they're not coated like the original Pfizer tabs!

Mexico's injectable diazepam seems properly dosed. They use it in the hospital and ER, so it'd need to work. It's 10mg/2mL that I've seen used.
