One of my friend's friend's said he got pulled over and ate a 1/4 and got high, i explained to him about thc releasing at high temp's but he refused to listen, i even explained about cannibutter, but still with no success, he still exclaimed he was high. Is this possible? I didn't know the guy so wasnt going to get into a depth arguement with him, but i did prove my point with information. Can anybody prove me right or wrong?

I don't think it's necessary to have a high temperature in order to
gain effects from marijuana. THC is alcohol and fat soluble, so
it doesn't necessarily need to be heated to be effective. Eating
a quarter ounce is a lot, and would probably result in some
    psychoactive effects, I would think.

I have heard from many reliable sources, including alfa, that THC does not require heat to make it psychoactive, or react within the body. Someone should eat a gram or two and report [IMG]

Eating is much stronger than smoking, I ate some hasj a week ago, 0.5
gr, It wasn't like being stoned or high, it was more psycedelic. and
you don't have to heat, I ate a piece of some hasj (0.35 gr) chewed
and swallod. The effects only started after 1.5 hours but it worked

    Of course.

Ever swallow a lump of hashish and let it dissolve in your stomach? It takes a few hours to work but it will get you extremely stoned, even an 1/8th would give you visualisations, auditory hallucinisations, the lot.

Eating is actually less efficient than smoking because some of the thc gets lost in your liver. Usually you get stronger effects because when people eat mj they usually eat way more than they would have smoked.

Oh and gotten a buzz off of eating straight bud once but all other times I've found it works waaayy better when you heat it. It might take a little more work, but cooking weed conserves it and that saves money, something I usually don't have a lot of.

Alice B. Toklas brownies (from the movie: "I Love You, Alice B. Toklas").

To korky8097: How bad does it smell when cooking lets say weed brownies?

I know the answer to this one (tried and true). Cooking "fortified" brownies smells just like regular brownies (as long as you don't over-cook them).

There are two ways tomake them (and they both work): (1)Just pour the bud into the batter; and a little better method(2) Cook the bud in butter (and water), then pour the butter (with the THC in it) into the batter (and pour out the water, with the stems and flowers).

Depending on how much bud is added, Method 1 is OK. If you put enough of it in there, however, the brownies taste "funny."

The best thing about eating the THC is that its effects last longer. The initial effects are longer in coming (30 minutes or so, compared to 30 seconds in smoke form). But then, it gives a different high (calmer, more psychedelic), the peak is much later (good when attending a social event), AND it lasts for up to 10 hours.

The down side is, it takes MORE bud. It takes about 2 to 4 times more budto get this high. But, that is not a big deal.Edited by: Solidly-here

That may not be true in the case of hashish though. Am I right?

I ate an eigth of rocky on my 15th birthday my mixing it with some ice
cream and ... well, it was the most frightening experience of my life.
I woke up three hours after eating it (I went to bed assuming it hadn't
worked) and I couldn't move. It felt like someone had replaced my blood
with lead. It took me half an hour to slowly crawl to the toilet ...
    nasty

I get that feeling the whole time when I eat hash. I tend to like it now but it used to freak me outa bit with the auditory hallucinations and the confusion. It's like taking super-valium or something. You wake up, very numb and relaxed, a bit groggy, with glazed over eyes. It's not like being high, it just makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Excellent if you want a good night's sleep.

swim's friend's friend used to push chronic over in CA. One day
this kid took all the shake and stems from a huge amount that he had
pushes, and made a sort of combo butter/pesto out of it. he sent
it to swim and his friend. it was a butter tupperware container
full. The swims made pasta with all of it, then were incredibly
high for about three days. Apparently when conversation with the kid
was initiated, he was amazed. the swims were not supposed to eat
    that much at once.

it was a little scary, waking up two mornings in a row, and still being
buzzed the fuck up. but these swims immensely enjoyed it.

I know what you mean Liam. I think I was just a bit irresponsible
eating so much at such a young age. I've eaten hash a couple of times
since and enjoyed it far more, but still found it incredibly potent.
Far "trippier" for want of a better word and the high itself is more
intense. I would say that eating weed produces by far the strongest
effects you can get out of the substance. In terms of the intensity of
the experience I would rate the following methods accordingly (I'm sure
most of you know the terms I'm using but I'll explain it in case you
    don't):

    1. eating

    2. bucket bong (chopping the end off a plastic bottle, creating a gauze
out of tin foil and placing it on the lid, then filling a bath or a
bucket with water and using the water to suck the smoke down into the
    bottle)

    3. water fall (plastic bottle with hole in it, filled with water, place
thumb over hole and let go - as the water pours out it sucks the smoke
    in)

    4. BIG bong

    5. Killer/lung (plastic bottle with end chopped off, plastic bag placed
on end as suction tool - often the pull isn't that great). In this and
the above two cases concerning bottles you get a bottle full of smoke
in your lungs - powerful, but seriously unpleasant.

    6. pure spliff

    7. normal bong

    8. normal spliff

In terms of enjoyment however, I always opt for the spliff nowadays. I'm just too old for all the other shit.

Yeah, me too (though I'm only 19 [IMG] ). I'm not really a fan of gimmick smoking anymore. Still though, I'll always have a place in my heart for smoking hash off a metal pipe.
