The last few years I've had problems with lack of energy and feelings
of dissacoiation; not to mention depression, anxiety, etc.... Anyways
I've done loads of caffeine, and that's been working fine except lately
it's begning to work less. So I want something stronger; I've done
ephedera a few times; but would prefer amphetamines for the following
    reasons:

1-amphetamines release dopamine + adrenaline; ephedera seems to only release adrenaline

2-amphetamines appear safer than ephedera; one woud have to take large
potentially unsafe doses of ephedera to mimic what would occur from
    safe small doses of amphetamines.

3-ampheatmines can be snorted; ephedera can't [neither can caffeine for that matter]

    *correct me if I'mwrong.

    I asked my doctor to prescribe me some dexedrine but was unsucesful;
saw a psychatrist and asked for something for energy - both said I
don't need an "energy boost" and just put me on some effexor which is
supposed to regulate my energy levels but dosen't do much.

Is there anyway I can persuade a doctor/psychatrist that I really do
need an "energy boost" as opposed to a "regulation" of my energy?

I considered getting some amphetamines of the street, but was worried because I heard street speed is very cut.

No good doctor will prescribe you an amphetamine for a freaking
energy boost. If they did, I'd be worried about what other
unethical things they might be doing.

Ridiculous... might as well start asking for prozac because your boyfriend dumped you, too.

    BTW caffeine can be snorted.

Amphetamines are not perscribed for energy, and personally, I believe they are very much over perscribed for ADD/ADHD. Amphetamines are not ideal for a regular energy boosts because once you get a tolerance, they loose they're effectiveness. Also, when you try to get off the amphetamine, your energy level will be much worse than before.

Look, we all get tired sometimes, it's natural. You just need to tough it out. I'm not sure how old you are, but if your in your teens, or early 20's, your body will feel tired alot, it's part of growing up. I am 18 and I feel drained of energy all the time. I go to school and work 4 hours everyday and it's tough, but I need the money for college so I'm motivated to keep goin. When I get tired, I have a cup of strong coffee or somethin. Caffiene will only block the chemicals in your brain that tell you your tired though, it's not going to be much of an energy boost.

First off. Shut up. You have contributed nothing to this thread. Go preach in an anti-drug site where people will actually care.

Angel I would go to another doctor and tell them about your problems studying and even tell the doctor you have read up some things about ADD and think you might have it. The doc would start you on ritalin and if that doesn't work they would put you on dexedrine (adderall is banned in Canada).

    That's funny. I wasn't being anti-drugs...

I was being honest, almost </span>no
ethical doctor will give you ADHD medication for an energy boost (*eyes
roll out of head*)... that's unethical to do so unless they diagnose
you with ADHD first, since that's what they're for when given out by a
doctor, and is very comparible to some emo teenager wanting prozac to
get over the fact that Jimmy dumped her at the prom. It's ridiculous
that people would ask for prescrip. amphetamines for energy... my god,
your doctor is a doctor, not a street dealer. Makes me wonder how many
people wander in to the office asking for vicodin and xanax for their
    period cramps and common headaches.

Totally misunderstood what you said. Yea no doctor would write a script for an amphetamine for an energy boost...even though amphetamines could help alot of people who have low energy. No doctor would prescribe you dexedrine or adderall, especially, if you ask for it.

    Qestion to you all.

Are you more likely to get aphetamines with Hyperactive or Inattentive ADD, or it doesn't make any difference?

I'd rather get Adderal or Dexedrin then Rittalin or some other weaker crap.

    Re: getting prescription for amphetamines

Grammar and spelling issues aside, do not go and call someone a "nob head," no matter what was said. Name-calling is childish and futile. This is not that type of forum.

While I agree that anti-depressants such as fluoxetine (Prozac) are over-prescribed, that is by no means a justification for docs to prescribe a Schedule II drug just because "you got no enagy and theres is a reason behind it."

Do you realize how many people "need enagy"? Sure, in extreme cases such as narcolepsy a stimulant may be appropriate, but to say that anyone who feels like they lack energy deserves the right to have amphetamine is outright ludicrous. Think about what you are saying and really read it over before calling someone else a "nob head", especially when their views are much more logical and cohesive than those you have provided.
