    Hi,

I've been taking ginseng over the past few winter months to help beat the winter blues. It seems to have helped stave off colds etc during this and it's supposed to help beat lethargy too. Just interested to know the full health benefits of ginseng and what people mainly use it for.......?

    Cheers.

Panax ginseng is used as a tonic: helps weakened people to keep going, helps with fatigue, giving both a physical and intelectual (mental concentration) push, helps convalescent people to regain their strenght.
It's not a recreational drug in anyway, it's an herbal medecine (even if some ephedra+guarana based "herbal xtc" mixes might contain some ginseng along with a few other herbal medecine, helping with circulation for instance)

    Thanks

Thanks for that. I'm not looking to have ginseng as some kind of 'upper' just to take advantage of it's health benefits.

    Cheers.
