This question has been on swim's mind for ages. Swim has read up a lot and thought he knew all about the effects of H. But this one stumped him. Can SWIY shed any light on this? I hope so

When swim was using H actively (on average 5 days a week for 4 months or so) smoking on average around 0.8g/day. Usually, when having sex swim lasts a normal amount of time before orgasming. When he ejaculates there is a fair amount of distance covered. But when using, his penis became super sensitive and he came to orgasm almost immediately after getting an erection. Then he would only dribble a small amount of semen. It took about 5 weeks for his sexual function to get back to normal after he stopped using.

It has happened again, this time he used for about 10 days and it took around 2-3 weeks after stopping for sexual function to return.

I know you can have a v sensitive penis and involuntary ejaculation during withdrawal - swim gets this. But it just lasts long after swim has stopped withdrawing.

Swim doesn't understand how his sexual function can remain impaired so long after any trace of H has left his system, does anyone know?

    Cheers

WOW! swim hasnt used H for years, or opiates at all for MONTHS..but he never experienced this.
as a matter of fact, the exact opposite. swim was a champion lovemaker under the influence of opiates(and sometimes tramadol would do it), almost infuriatingly so, as swim would have DOPE DICK..the ability to stay erect for a long time, but not ejaculate.
NOW swim sometimes encouters this, and not using opiates, but hella back pain. can pinched nerves also interfere w this?
what are other swimmers thoughts on dope and sexuality?

AW: Guy question (Warning: Explicit sexual content)

This will happen because of a Inbalance in our Red-Light District, the Nucleus Accumbens!

After the Time of Drug-Induced Dopamine Release (through Opiates) the N.A.
can be Overstimulated and the Neurotransmitter are/ can be "De-Generated"!

interesting article thank you - it doesnt elaborate on your point that much tho, it doesn't explain why sexual function returns to normal after a period of time

Well, it takes time for the body to reach homeostasis (equilibrium) again.

The body's goal is to be as lazy (okay, efficient) as possible; when taking opioids on a regular basis, many things go into overdrive to compensate, and many things go into, er, underdrive (?) to compensate. Like, opioids suppress norepinephrine production, so in an attempt to reach homeostasis, your body will ramp up it's production of norepinephrine; when you stop taking opioids, your body's still in ramp up mode, but no longer has the opioid to modulate it and even the norepinephrine production out - that's why an addict kicking the habit will start drooling, have a runny nose, kicky legs, watery eyes, etc (and that's why clonidine helps so much - it suppresses norepinephrine production).

Opioids also affect your "smooth" muscles, these tend to be inside the pelvic region. It's a large part of why you get constipated while using (and subsequently get diarrhea in withdrawals), it's part of why you can't piss when you're high & those same muscles are the ones that "push" the ejaculate out. The smooth muscles are affected and can't do their job to "wave" along things that need to get, well, waved along. Again, I think what's coming into play here is the body trying to find balance (homeostasis), thus doing things it wouldn't normally do when opioids are introduced for an extended period of time. It gets used to having to adjust to the opioids in the system, then has to readjust and get used to the fact that there AREN'T opioids in the system.

The more & longer an opioid run is, the longer it takes to recover (to some degree). The more times you try to recover/detox, the longer/harder the recovery process is & age plays a huge part in it as well - it's a lot easier for a 22 year old to bounce back than it is for a 32 year old than it is for a 42 year old, if you know what I mean.

Even though it may only take a week for all traces of Heroin to leave the body, the body has made all kinds of adjustments in reaction to the Heroin in the body consistently; these changes take longer to recover from than just the removal of Heroin from the body.

I hope this helps! If anything's not clear, let me know & I'll try to explain it better. :)

    Why not?

After a Time the System get back the Balance and the Neurons are well dosed,
a Ejaculation will be not signalized too early!

But as i said another Problem is may be the Prostata, maybe she need a little bit of Training and Massage

swim also experienced something like this, he even had a few instances where he would orgasm but NOTHING would come out, no semen whatsoever, it still felt the same like he was cumming but nothing came out, it returned to normal after about a week though.
