SWIM has been on 2 mg Suboxone for 2 years. Swims Dr switched Swim to Norco to ease WD during the time it takes to get Suboxone detoxed from body so that Suboxone would be able to be used-once again, to detox of Norco dependancy. If swim used kratom and Norco during detox to ease Suboxone WD. Hypothetically, How long would it take the body to get no longer dependent on Suboxone if 2 Mg a day was taken for about 2 years?
Swim thinks 2-3 weeks might be long enough. Swim has a pain specialist overseeing treatment.
    Thank you very much

What's crackin' MarSeven. I was on Suboxone for about 2 years as well, going from 8mg a day to 4mg, then when I did my last stint in rehab, the doctors took me down to around .5mg.

It was tough for about 2 weeks going from 4mg to that small of an amount, but the real hell was when I checked into sober living right after rehab and couldn't afford Suboxone anymore (as you know, it's retarded expensive). So I went cold turkey...

If you've ever experienced full withdrawal from methadone maintenance then you know the feeling of hell already (hot sweats, cold sweats, shaky limbs, restless legs, just generally wanting to crawl out of your skin). This hell lasted pretty heavily for about a week and a half.

After that week and a half, it was about another 2 1/2 weeks before I felt close to normal, and even then, my anxiety level was through the roof. That was the worst experience of my life. If I had to do it over again, I would even taper from .5mg down to the smallest amount possible (a crumb of a pill?). That shit is super powerful, don't underestimate it!

Good luck to you! Hope this helped in some way. Peace!

Your message sure helped me! I have been on suboxone for two years and I thaought I would start to taper off about 6 months ago. I was on 8mg 3x per day so every eight hours I took a pill under the tongue. my first step was to take less for about a week so I went down to 2x a day or every 12 hours. after tow weeks of that I felt good and decided to go to 1 pill a day under the Tongue. Then they switched and I was told by my pharmacist that it will be in stick form from now on and the company was doing away with the pills. When I saw what a stick looked like I figured it was going to be a light dose. Several weeks went by and I was down to one stick and feeling proud. Then it all came back to grab me. I started with my stomach crawling, shortness of breath, anxiety to the roof. I ended up taking more doses up to 5 per day and I am now at 3x a day every eight hours.WD going off for a few days then back for a week. How do you finally get off this rollar coaster to hell. I'm way too old for this( 78)I haven't slept in months any advice would be appreciated

Yep, kicking bupe is harder than methadone or anything else I've had to withdraw from. I'll explain the method my doctor in rehab used, which I hated at first but now I see it was pretty smart.

Let's say you're on a dose anywhere from 2 mg and lower. Take 2 mg on Monday, then down to 1.5 (or 1.75, whatever's comfortable). Switch every other day like this between doses for at least 1 week, then the next week or so take that 1.5 mg to 1 mg (or 1.25) and do the same alternating method. You do feel somewhat uncomfortable but it isn't near as bad as full blown withdrawal hell.

That worked for me until I went cold turkey at .5 mg (after I had left rehab). Goddamn that cold turkey from even .5 MG sucked horribly. I'm not sure what that stick you speak of is, it must have come after my time on the meds (I used the pills and the strips, which were both pretty excellent to measure a dose with).

If and when you do decide to just quit cold turkey, or are just feeling like dogass in general, the supplement Valerian Root worked wonders for me. It's kind of like a natural valium of sorts and relieves some of the anxiety and crawl-out-of-your-skin feeling. Another thing is smoking copious amounts of medical weed!

I hope that helped a little bit. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Withdrawing from every form of opiate became a way of life for me for too long, including Suboxone.

That's crazy. went from doing 1.5 grams of heroin to subutex I feel mild w/d in the day in between doses. I took the subutex to early and went into full precipitated withdrawal. I'm scared ill have to go through severe withdrawal getting off of subutex

I wonder if heroin would help with the subutex withdrawal lol
