I was talking to a friend who mentioned 'cooking' and from movies and such I know you hold a lighter under a spoon with dope in it until it fizzles etc, but how long do you personally let it boil for? Just a quick flash, a couple or seconds or what? Do you have any personal touches to how you do it, like turning the flame on and off to heat it slowly, swirling the shot around in the spoon as you heat it or what? Tell me all you can please ;)

SWIM tries to heat it as little as possible, he lets some bubbles appear and as soon as they start moving around and get the dope nice and auto-stirred he takes the heat off.

The heroin that my friend Mini gets around here doesn't need to be cooked at all since it disolves so well. She does however sometimes cook it if she sees it could use some help dissolving. She usually just brings it to a boil and takes the heat away. Mini's boyfriend however, likes to go overboard and boil it for about three seconds. Don't understand why, but Mini isn't about to tell his man how to cook his batch :p

I read on here that you should stop as soon as it starts boiling.

But with swim's shit it wont dissolve unless he let it boil for an extra 3 seconds.
I read if you boil it you lose some of the drugs, but what about the part that doesnt dissolve??

swiy should always cook the dope, for reasons of sterility. boiling it for a second is all it should need to kill all the bacteria they may be lurking in the dope or water. not doing so can lead to an infection or abscess.

osnappo added 4 Minutes and 36 Seconds later...

the part that doesn't dissolve is the cut, unless its brown H which swim believes needs citric acid to dissolve properly because it is in the base for. but generally speaking the shit that left in the bottom of the cooker is whatever its cut with. heat does degrade heroin, and all opiates for that matter, which is why people only boil it for a second, just enough to kill the bacteria.

swim personally has only done heroin about 6 times, but is very experienced with shooting up oxycodone and morphine. he has read the info he gave above he has read numerous time on drugs-forum.

    Ok, cooking up UK heroin.

Once you have the heroin, citric/Vitc and sterile water in your clean spoon, you place a lighter flame just below the spoon. Never allow the flame to come into direct contact with the bottom of the spoon, cos that way you can end up cooking it too quickly, and you could lose some liquid through evaporation.

Move the flame from one end of the spoon to the other and you'll see it start to bubble, as this happens the heroin and citric/Vitc start to disappear, and you should be left with a honey/light brown coloured liquid. Some times, if the heroin doesn't quite dissolve add a tiny bit more citric/Vitc to the liquid and cook again.

The idea is to cook the liquid until all of the heroin disappears, and all you're left with are some tiny grains in the bottom of the spoon. This is why you need to filter the liquid, cos you don't want the grainy bits in the works/rig. Always take your time (if possible) rush it, and you could end up losing some through evaporation.

Always make sure you have your filter to hand so that you can transfer the liquid to the syringe as quickly as possible, that way there's less chance of any bacteria finding it's way into the end product. Always use fresh needles if at all possible.

Yeah, SWIM definitely seems to be part of a minority in her views about cooking, but even if it's already mostly dissolved/a little gets lost through evaporation, she BOILS it for about 15 seconds, or until completely dissolved, but even if it's already dissolved, SWIM still likes to make sure it bubbles for at least 5 seconds, just for the sake of sterilization.

swiy and swim are very much alike. making sure everything is dissolved and sterilized is a must. after seeing bubbles swim maintains until all powder is dissolved in spoon and he can see clearly the honey coloured liquid. :vibes:

Swim boils water on the stove, pours it into a clean cup after rinsing with boiled water, dips his spoon to retrieve around 1cc of water, pours the drug in and mixes. He enjoys the practice of being discreet, silent and sneaky, just in case there comes a time. Something just doesn't feel professional about using a lighter or a candle.
