Title speaks for itself... Swim figures if worst comes to worst, a diluted test is better than a failed test.

P.S. This is talking about court ordered, lab urine tests......what will they do if you dilute a test, is this a way to buy yourself some days to allow the drug to leave your system?

I has had PLENTY of experience with this, when THEY are testing for a threshhold amount of 50 nanograms I would drink h2o, at least a half gallon(four 16-oz cups) fast. well the first two were fast, then it slowed down. then I would be pissing every 15-20 minutes.
after I had pissed 3 or 4 times as a result of the water drinking, he assumed hen was clean at that time. ie when swim pissed 4 times in an hour, approx 2 hrs after drinking water, I felt confident in putting his penis in the cup for the Piss Test Dude.
but one must keep drinking water, I feel the rate of 16oz each time one pisses, is sufficient to remain clean, so as long as the man was piss testing, swim and crew kept drinking h2o. a pain in the ass. swim advises starting the process 4 hours before seeing the parole man.
but this only worked for me with cannabis, nothing else.
if the cutt off is below 50ng( swim failed one when they tested at 20ng)swim might be up shit creek.
    good luck

lol thanks for the info partner.. swim hoping the probation office dont call this week or swim really might be up shit creek, the water technique is really all I has to fall back on, really dont want to do nearly a year in jail, but guess I should've thought about that before using drugs.

Kodeen Fiend added 7 Minutes and 30 Seconds later...

I thought you just had to drink more than 32 and you were good, but you have to keep on drinking water up until the test?

Please familiarize all scientists embarking on such experiments with water poisoning. A gallon in a hour can dilute your electrolyte levels to the point where nerve cells can no longer communicate with each other and that's REALLY BAD! That's death.

Just be careful, that's what I'm saying, a person can NOT drink unlimited amounts of water.

A sports drink, or something with electrolytes might be a better choice than just plain water. Adding a bit of salt to the water can also help avoid hyponatremia (water intoxication).

Also, cranberry juice is a natural diuretic and can help flush the system a bit quicker than just plain water.

    Be well...

Cranberry juice, yes I didn't think of that. Some things may acidify the urine (or basify). Typically when drugs are in an acidic environment they become more water soluble. The body eliminates things by making them more water soluble, so acidifying the urine (which cranberry juice can do) can speed up elimination of the drug.

Please be very careful when consuming large amounts of water in short periods of time, just as SWIpotter said! Check out this discussion on H2O Intoxication.

Potter is correct, there is such a thing as water poisoning, but swim never witnessed it in the amounts given. M-TH, each week while at one place, swim awoke, drank 32oz of h2o, 12 oz coffee, then another 32 oz withon 30 min, then sipped as much as possible without puking. This went on until I went out of the area of the piss mans control. He didn't pisstest every day, but better safe than sorry. And I did this for years
At one time, too many people were beating their tests, so on "cause suspicion" labeled tests( as opposed to random, or pre release) if the piss was clear, they tested the specific gravity and locked many people up for"tampering" even though the officer watched the urine stream exit the body, as per his job discription, because ther specific gravity was not consistant with NORMAL urine. These disciplinary cases were overturned wqithin 8 months of this practice. Sorry, a bit off topic, but they can test for specific gravity as well

Good point about specific gravity. It's really easy to test for. Take a drop of the urine (or liquid in question) and drop it in this thing with a lens, look through an eyepiece and a scale will show against the drop of liquid indicating the specific gravity. Takes about a minute to do and doesn't cost anything save the piece of handheld equipment.

At the drug testing lab I worked at we would test specific gravity on anything suspect just to verify. Too much water will throw it off.

@jasmin, so the more cranberry juice you drink, the faster a drug will leave your system?... is this correct?

Kodeen, it could help. I usually tell people that such little tricks are not likely to make a huge difference, but acidic urine will accelerate elimination.

you know any more little tricks like that, that could speed up the process of eliminating drugs from the body?
