Experiences - How to achieve a good Kanna experience

    This thread is about how to achieve a good Kanna experience. Most of SWIM's Kanna experiences were very disappoining failing to achieve the same decent highs that were achieved a couple of times before. By trial and error and internet research I am trying to find out what things are important to make a great experience. SWIM's current knowledge is the following:

    The main method of ingestion of the natives is chewing the Kanna. I am thinking the chewing is very important to make the digesting fast enough to get a high enough blood concentration, chewing 10-15 minutes should be a good time, after that the Kanna has to be swallowed. It's important to have a completely empty stomach, the reason for that is the same as for chewing, fast digesting to get a high blood concentration. Best time for ingestion therefore is in the morning before breakfast, after swallowing wait 1-2 hours before making breakfast. Last time I tried 0,5g, shortly after swallowing a uncomfortable mild rush followed, fortunately this didn't last long, after 1-2 hours very mild stimulation and euphoria followed, really not worthwhile, after another 1-2 hours stimulation should fade into a calm meditative euphoria which is where Kanna's fun is at, it was only very weak, next time I will try 1g and report back.

    The great about the Kanna high is you feel as calm and clear like you are meditating so the environment should be quite and silent and You should feel relaxed before taking the Kanna, this is why I will try it sunday morning next time.

    I have only had positive experiences with this plant. However my source was very direct (from people who farm it) and thus the plant material was good (meaning it had the right alkaloids in it). Are you using the same batch of plant material?

    SWIM normally only eats a few hundred milligrams of plant material and thats it. But I amn't really looking to get high off it sometimes the boost is nice for concentration.

    I have heard some reports of people making a crude extract with pure alcohol and then snorting that crude mix. Snorting the plant itself also supposedly makes the high part stronger but then again SWIM never did this because I don't use it to get high. Its supposed to be nasty to snort too but then again what isn't.

    Since years I buy it always from the same vendor but also has experience with another vendor with similar qualiy.

    Which part, the last/calm one?

    SWIM last time drank a cup kakao prior to cheewing the Kanna, dosage was 1200-1500mg cheewed and swallowed in 3 parts with some water to make it less harsh. After that SWIM drank another cup of kakao. Peak was about 5 hours after swallowing the Kanna, it was OK, not that great than previous experiences, probably due to beeing in a very bad condition these days and the first experiences are always stronger. Next time I will try to combine with Tongkat Ali extract, Hericum powder and buttermilk (rich in lecithine).
