I've been taking adderall for a little over 3 months sporadically. I do take it on a weekly basis at minimum, but usually take it 2-3 times a week at a 50mg dose. I want to make sure I don't get addicted but how do I? when I take long breaks which are like 1 week, I seem to be fine so I don't think I am.

    Stop.

Addiction isn't an illness you can just "catch" someday.

As a rule of thumb, if you're worried about it then you're probably on the path to it.

Agreed. 50 mg is what I consider recreational use and you are building a tolerance by using Adderall those 2-3 days a week. Periodic binging on amphetamines is still setting up the using pattern in your brain (I don't know the proper terminology but, the flood of dopamine that comes with amphetamine use is depleted at the end of a binge; the exhausted feeling is lack of dopamine, so a user does more amphetamine to relieve the exhaustion) that can lead to dependence.

I have been using Adderall since October at least once a week and I'm feeling a dependent on it. The comedown is terrible and I have to do 90 mg in the span of 24 hours to feel really good.

Take a break while you can. If you are getting the Adderall prescribed, its no good at all to use them recreationally. If not, when you run out just dont call your dealer.

A week away from amphetamine will do nothing for your tolerance. Try two.
