SWIM has recently purchased 2 liters of liquid ketamine and was wondering what was the most effective form of turning it into powder?
SWIM has been recommended to put it on a plate over boiling hot water a bit like how one melts chocolate....
    Any help would be brilliant.
    Thank you very much.

SWIM recalls watching a steve-o (from jackass) movie where he goes to mexico and gets liquid Ket, and they show him pouring it all out onto a glass table and blow drying it on a low setting until the liquid evaporated and it left a ton of powder. He snorted the resulting powder and got really fucked up, so it seems the ketamine definitely does stay behind.

Swim would have to say putting it on a plate and putting the plate over boiling water. Swim cant think of anything that could possible go wrong.
Swim has heard of people putting it in the oven or microwave, which sounds kinda dumb to swim.
Swim has a big pot that you plug in and it heats up to a desired temperature (supposed to for things like soup or curry i think) Swim imagines that would be perfect for the job but has not tried it yet. dont know where the pot came from, found it in swims shed

The slower you heat it, the larger the crystals will form and the stronger it will be.

Sun dried is the best method.

Hotplate - You can heat a pan of water and put a perspex bowl in the water so the heat will EVENTUALLY cook the ket, slow method, and you have to keep refilling the water in the pan.

Bake - put it in a perspex dish / plate and oven bake it - never tried this method.

Microwaving it is the worst and it also produces the smallest yield. Vapourize expensive ket? no thanks, although useful if your in a rush and don't mind having a ket covered microwave.

Fry it - my particular favourite method. Get a high quality frying pan with a good non-stick coating, season it slightly with oil (break it in first), clean the pan, but if possible leave it ever so slightly slippy... not bone dry (this will help when scraping the ket out of the pan) This method also works alot better if you have electric hobs rather than gas as the heat is distributed evenly. get the pan hot, medium to high and add a layer of liquid just so it coats the pan maybe 2mm deep. This should yield 3-4 grams. Repeat the process until all done. I tend to get 30g from a 500ml bottle. Takes a fair bit of time cheffing though.

    -----

Never tried it in a slow cooker - although good idea!
Never tried drying it with a hairdryer lol.

h0st added 1 Minutes and 34 Seconds later...

2mm is a very thin layer actually go for about 5mm. probably about a 60-70ml squirt.

Swim's friend uses a large glass bowl/plate type of thing, pours in a set amount of Ketamine (100ml), just so that it covers the bottom of the plate, then heats it in a fan oven (but I think normal could do too) on a low temperature (130-150 degrees). It takes about an hour and it's best to keep checking back to see how done it is.
SWIY will know when it's cooked as soon as it turns white and solid. SWIY could leave it in the oven a bit further if it seems moist, but generally it's a thin line between cooked and over-done.

Swim has found that some ketamine naturally has a yellow tint in it's liquid form, while other is completely clear.
If swiy has yellowish ketamine, don't worry if when swiy cooks it, it seems a bit burnt, it usually isn't, that's just the colour.
The two also have slightly different effects and consistency when in powdered form - the clear, white one is more fluffy and gives a milder effect, also it's less likely to cause nausea.
The yellowish is more grainy and has a bit of a sudden hit, but is rather powerful.

Swim used to use a pyrex glass cassarole dish and stick in the oven at a very low temp. keep an eye on it, and scrape the powder from the glass. This was like 15 years ago and all but though ketamine fell off the face of the earth. apparently not.

All these will work. Basically evaporate the water. Too much heat can burn it a bit and turn it darker, so lower heat is good. The double boiler method isn't bad, or sun dried, or a fan, or even in the oven at the lowest setting and checked periodically while it gets down to the last little bit of liquid. When it is down to a small amount of liquid in the oven one should remove it and set a fan on it, though, because if it starts to crystallize and is too hot it can damage it a bit. It will still work, but too hot and it can degrade a bit.

The microwave will end up popping it all over the microwave. An old friend used to scrape his microwave after several batches, then pick out tiny food particles before snorting it.. :p Also, the slower it evaps, as mentioned above, the larger the crystals will be, but bigger crystals don't really mean it's more potent. They just mean you'll have a lot more grinding before it'll be easy to snort.

Normally when crystallizing something, larger crystals mean they will be more pure, but since the ketamine has usually been made in a lab, and a precise amount of a precise drug are placed into the vials (professional lab grade k, not street k, of course), the only thing one is doing is removing the water, not trying to recrystallize for purity.. It should already be pure in a normal vial, however, some clandestine chemists may load their own bottles, and if not from a professional lab, it's possible that recrystallizing it could make it more pure, but that requires knowing the source to determine if it's really necessary..

My raver friend usually leaves it out on a place next to the window. It air dries in 5 hours or so. This method is easiest if it's just a small quantity at a time. My raver friend would suggest only drying in small batches in case some gets burned, and to get used to the process. If a small batch gets ruined it's better than a large batch.

Swims treasure troll used to cook it on the stove using the glass plate from the microwave. The treasure troll would turn the burner onto the lowest setting and set the glass microwave plate on the burner. Then, swims treasure troll would add a small amount of liquid k to the plate and move the liquid around as well as moving the glass so as not to burn the k as it dries. Once the k had dried the troll would proceed to scrape the glass with a razor. Swim recalls this method working well for her treasure troll, as the k wad always delicious.

utfse there are a ton of threads on this but yes over hot water it will dry fairly quick in about 10-15 mins, for better results it is best to dry slower if swiy has an airing cubbord in the house place it on a backing try and place at the top, swiy will get good size cristals, after about 4-5 hr's make sure it is 100% dry before scraping the powder up though.
