I just had my first mushroom experience last night, and it was
    incredible. i'm a 5'6" female and i weigh about 115 pounds and i only
took 1/2 of an eighth, chased it with OJ, and it worked out
beautifully. I really would like to share this experience with my best
friend, and she'd like to do it, too, but there's a catch - she doesn't
have a spleen. It was removed due to a horrible car accident. Because
of this, she is an extreme lightweight (3 beers for her basically
equals 6 beers for a normal person) and has a very sensitive stomach.
she also has a MASSIVE phobia
of vomit. (I know nausea is a side effect, but i felt absolutely no
nausea or indegestion on my trip last night). Would 1/2 an eighth be
alright for her? or should she take even less? I know mushrooms have no
lasting effects so i'm not worried about what it would do to her body,
i just don't want her to have an uncomfortable and possibly-horrible
trip. ANY advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Mushrooms dont have any terrible health effects. I think that if she can drink alcohol, a small amount of shroom should be okay. Just make sure she's in as good of a state of mind as you are. Thats the concern.

Talk to your friend, tell her exactly what to expect and see how she
feels. The phobia thing is an issue, but nausea almost always
goes away in 15 minutes or so (she could also take a Dramamine or
something just in case - that helps a lot). If she worries about it, it
could make it worse. Depending on how she feels, you might even want
to give her less than 1/2 an eighth (depending on her weight) - maybe
1/4-1/3 - a really light trip, to get her familiar with the experience and
make sure her body's going to be okay with it. Just take it slow, and
remember you can always take more next time. [IMG]

Your spleen mainly protects against germs and crap, and other organs
take over when its removed (liver, other parts of lymphatic system), so
I think physically she should be fine (especially since its okay for
her to drink alcohol), as long as she doesn't overdo it or

The nausia is more of a drunken feeling though. When i have tripped in the past i always just feel kinda drunk and tipsy... but as long as she is happy and such she should be able to roll right through it

NO SPLEEN!? woa thats horrible! First off let me say that i sympathize
very much for your friend (my brother has only 1 kidney...very
psychological experience) secondly i wouln't suggest getting your
friend to do shrooms (thought you probably have already) shrooms for me
have a painful way of bringing back old memories, but let her only do 2
g'z or 2.5...for me (fully healthy) only takes 2.5 to 3 gz to get high
    but also to control myself

    just my opinion
