Just got a sample pack from a well known vendor and it smells and tastes like a fish store. Is this normal?

Is it plain leaf? or is it an extract? Rex has run across some fishy smelling Kratom before, no noticeable negative effects. Using the tea method may be a good idea with that batch just in case. The steeping in boiling water should help with any mold.

Ive never tasted a fish store so i cant comment on that, as for the smell Ive never considered it to smell fishy. It the leaf of a tree, it should not smell like marine life.;)

You obviously have your concerns about what this 'well know vendor' has sent you. Are they well known for sending out the wrong product, or are they practical jokers, or is there another reason why you are unsure if what they sent you is the right thing?

Personally i wouldn't take something unless i was very sure of what it was. If for some reason you have reason to doubt the honesty or professionalism of this store then don't take the 'Kratom'

Depending on how you prepare it, and what form its in kratom should mostly taste bitter as a tea from leaf, or if its an extract it will taste differently depending on what was used in the extraction process.
