    Fentanyl...not in terms of euphoria (feeling high) but in terms of analgesia (pain relief), yes

    Oxymorphone= 6-8x stronger than morphine

    Fentanyl= 100x stronger than morphine

    Swim has degenerative disc and her doc is known for hooking people up.Swim almost wishes she never went to him, but now that she is opiate dependant is glad to have him in her corner. Swim looked on her docs computer while waiting and saw that he had written "fibromyalga" in her file also, he just never mentioned it to her,lol. He may be covering his tracks for prescribing such strong stuff. Swim really never had that to much pain and went to this doc really for a hook up, got one x ray and has been getting pretty much anything for a few years.

    motherlove1973 added 1 Minutes and 6 Seconds later...

    Swim did have pain, just not that bad at first, but over the last few years it has gotten really bad at times.

    ahh SWIM sees. Yea that doc is pretty sick if he hooks SWIY up like that. Too bad its not like the old days, where you could just buy morphine at the drug store. Irresponsible kids these days. SWIM has a recurring cyst on his back and has had 3 surgeries, and all SWIM gets is 7.5mg hydrocodone, and wishes that he could get something stronger. SWIM just doesn't want to look like a junkie when asking, or even worse become opiate addicted.

    Hopefully SWIM will never have to deal with this,but the problem with "hook up"docs is that they get famous quick which means that they sometimes get into the spotlight.If this should happen and God forbid things go south,SWIM my find themselves scrambeling to get the meds that they are used to getting.
    Like I said,HOPEFULLY SWIM WILL NEVER have to go through anything like that but it's good to have a back up plan just in case.

    SWIM does not think SWIY would look like a junkie if (depending on how long SWIY has been on these)they were to tell the DR. that the current med is not quite working like it used too and is worried about the effects it may have on SWIY's liver.If SWIY were to ask respectiably and not aim toward any "Specific" med then chances are that the meds may be changed(especially if SWIY has had severel surgeries which would indicate there is a re-occuring problem).Good Luck,and remember to maintain a good relationship with SWIY's DR.!!!!

    Yes, swims doc has gotten in some trouble before. She really does not understand how he is still able to practice really. She knows she would never be hooked up the same with any other doc and hopes nothing happens to him.She is addicted and even though she does have pain,she does not have enough for this type of relief. Swim feels really sorry for people who suffer without the meds they need and hope swiy asks your doctor for something stronger. What do swiy have to lose? They can tell when someone is just drug seeking and swiy, is not, so please ask.

    The most potent opioid known right now is an analogue of ohmefentanyl.

    18,000x more potent than morphine. I doubt that you could ever really get your tolerance high enough where this stuff is actually usable.

    Im talking about doses in the nanogram range!

    Tell next time the doctors talks to you about your meds, say that your taking double the dose that he has recommended because that's what you find is working best, remember this, the doctor works for you its not the other way around. Im only 20 years old and im on oxycontin right now, and although i really do need it, i was and still afriad to ask the docs for pain meds, but alot of nurses ive talked to kept telling me that the docs work for you, and be asertive. It worked for me, shit i dident even start out with percs or something like that i went from no pain controll to morphine. Then i saw a specilist and i went from morphine to oxycontin. My next visit im going to tell him im taking an extra pill for the pain because i know he cant cut me off, he is also a very conservative doctor and does not want me on these meds, he stated that clearly thats why i had to go to the specialist. But because the specialist thinks i should be on the oxycontin, he has his ass covered and is now fine with doing what i want. Try and get into a relationship like this.

    Oxymorphone is the strongest opioid available in pill form in the United States.

    I'm so glad you talked to you doctor, hydromorphone (dilaudid) is some strong stuff...It sells for XXX dollars a milligram were swim lives..this is because of it's extreme euphoria went this particular medication is injected into a vein...very similar to heroin...it also can be snorted for better pain relief...Swim is not condoning any of these practices..harm reduction and safety first....pg

    Take a look at forum rules, drug prices are forbidden. As to the thread, Oxymorphone is great, and yes, for a high it is the best drug in the united states, here in canada, they used hydromorphone(dilaudid) tablets, and the hydromorph contin capsules, which of course can all be abused. Oxymorphone is more rare in canada.

    It may be one of the stronger ones out there ,but like any other med it may not work as well for swim as one of the "weaker" meds...........
    Swim had been on fent for some time but the patches irritated his skin and a hot shower would wash off a brand new patch.......plus they just became a pain in the ass after a while..........
    So what may be the strongest sometimes ain't the best.....
    With the Opana (oxymorphone)swim had some weird side effects,like profuse sweating and feeling sick the next day after ingestion,not dopesickness,but just stomach cramps and a overall ill feeling....that was only resolved by another dose............
    Swim stinks fent may be stronger...but whatever works for swiy body is the best bet..........
    stay safe.....bige

    Fentanyl is currently the strongest opioid analgesic prescribed being about 80 x morphine in potency. For surgery, sufentanil (400-800 x morphine) AND it will soon be available for pain in the form of Transdur patches that are smaller than the equivalent fentanyl patch and work for 7 days.

    [IMG]

    ^On the left is a Duragesic (fentanyl) patch, on the right a Transdur (sufentanil) patch.

    ^And here is the structure of sufentanil...

    SWIM says that fentanyl and it's derivatives (ie. sufentanyl, etc.) are the strongest fully synthetic opiate derivatives. However he told me that it does not give the user the intense euphoria that other opiate-based drugs do. SWIM has tried Opana IR (Immediate release oxymorphone tabs) and said that it produces a pleasant sensation at 60-90mg's (he has found that with his tolerance anything less than 6-10 10mg tabs of oxymorphone is't really 'noticeable' for him. The othe thing is tha fentanyl based drugs produce analgesia and CNS (Central Nervous System) depression but are less 'euphoric'. Users looking to fentanyl as the shangri-la of highs have been known to die/OD -- they stopped breathing before they felt the high they were looking for.

    So... to wrap it up: For pain relief / analgesia Fentanyl and it's derivatives are the strongest prescription drugs available to consumers to date. However, SWIM says his all-time favorite for getting high and feeling euphoria (rarer and rarer these days with his high tolerance for opiates) is immediate release oxycodone 15-30mg tabs which SWIM takes @ 150mg for the first dose and approximately 60+mg maintenance doses throughout the remainder of the day

    Long post, sorry. SWIM just ate a 100mcg Fentanyl patch and is high as f*&%, so my attention span is somewhat affected.
