So my pet monkey wants to plug hydrocodone in his pool (He knows already that it is very BA orally, but he still wants to). The thing is, he has heard though that it doesn't go through the liver that way so it wouldn't be metabolized into Hydromorphone. Is that true at all? Would that mean plugging would be an absolute waste for my pet monkey? He values his hydrocodone very much and would hate to feel like he wasted it. He thanks you for any help!

By the looks of it It will still work, and work faster, but the effects wont be as intense. Hydrocodone is active in its own right, but is potentiated by active metabolites, IE hydromorphone.
So it's SWIY's call really, but overall, with this one, oral may be the best plan.

As my pet rabbits have had 3 surgeries in the past month. They are in quite a bit of pain. The meds that they were prescribed were ms cotin and hydrocodone. Ms cotin is 15mg and hydrocodone is 10/325. They have done 30mg of ms cotin by plugging, with no effect. Same with the hydrocodone. They followed directions of plugging both, with no results. Should they up the dosage of these such meds? Or is there something that they are doing wrong?
