    not really.

unless you live in the pacific northwest or newfoundland perhaps
georgia or europe the vast, vast majority of mushrooms you're going to
find for sale will be Psylocybe cubensis. These are average potency. If
people say that the mushrooms they have or are selling will get you
buzzing from half an 8th and tripping from an 8th they are probably p.

one thing to look for is if the caps are still attached to the stems
and whether the mushrooms look all 'beat up' or not. this can be an
indication of freshness(almost never an issue since demand far exceeds
supply in most areas) and also if they look worn and tattered it is
more likely that more of the psilocin and psilocybin have decomposed.

your best bet for a good deal is to find stupid people who think the
stems are no good and get them to sell you a bunch of stems for cheap.

Try not to get beat up shrooms. If it's dark blue all over that
shows it's been bruised all over, and when the blue appears that's the
psilocybin oxidizing, which means it's losing potentcy.

In my experiances with shrooms has shown time and time again that the jewel always lies in the dirt. In every single instance in which i have shroomed on really ugly shrooms (flaky, brown, long with small shriveled caps) my trips have been absolutely fantastic. However the one time that i got some rather colorful ones (in a headshop in Germany) they were quite a let down. Granted they were fresh, and from what i have heard fresh mush's are not as potent as when dry.

For me, shrooms have become so rare that i dont even look at them before buying them, if someone sais i'll trip on em i go ahead and take the chance.

    Quality of Mushrooms

Once I buy from a dealer, how can he tell if they are truely BOMB or not?

Please describe in much detail as possible so I dont get ripped off.
Most of SWIM's dealers around here dont know what kind they are...Which really pisses him off:mad:
so he has to resort to this...

    Re: Quality of Mushrooms

It's hard to describe a mushroom, especially when you buy them dried, as many kinds look very similar.. If You trusts the dealer, and aren't possibly going to be bunked, then I would just suggest trying them, as so many variables play a role in potency.. It could be they were dried improperly, they are old, they could be different species, and even different flushes can vey in potency, as well as from shroom to shroom..

If one thinks it's possible someone is just tryin to sell them something to make a buck, I would suggest learning how to grow some easily with the PF tek or invitro tek, as one is much less likley to get ripped off, less likely to get poisoned, and will probably have a much cheaper supply for as long as they want...

Most mushrooms sold on the black market are probably a form of psilocybe cubensis, 2.5g dry being a full dose. Typically, they might look something like this.
