Well, I have started the tedious process of trying other species of Mitragyna, since the genus might hold some other gems and no one else seems to be posting results.
Some may remember Mellow Gold, which was the first import of purported Kratom leaf, though it was later found to be misidentified and tentatively reidentified as M. parvifolia. I had acquired a known sample of M. parvifolia while back from a reputable vendor, and finally got around to trying it recently.Note that I have a tolerance to kratom and probably reacted less than someone without tolerance.

SWIM ingested 4.5 g in gelcaps if ground leaf on an empty stomach.
30 min post-ingestion, I started to feel a shift in perception and some stimulation. This was accompanied by tingling of the skin, a mild sense of apprehension, and a bit of dizziness which occasionally came on in short waves. There was no narcotic effect noted, though the stimulation was similar to that of M. speciosa.
60min - I got the same kind of energy created by kratom and took care of several chores around the house. I started the day tired and was feeling very energetic and clear-headed by the time the effects peaked, and at the same time the tingling of the skin became stronger and a warming sensation of the body was perceptible. The effect was a little like that of a low dose of yohimbe, but with a cleaner stimulant effect (I feel horrible on Yohimbe, btw). Still no narcotic effects were noted.

90min - I was a bit more cloudy-headed and spaced out, but still energetic. The main effects had peaked and I was a little less stimulated. I was somewhat dizzy at this point as well, with very mild deficits in balance while turning or making akward movements.
The effects slowly dropped off over the next 2 hours, and were imperceptible by 4hrs post.

SWIM's assessment overall is that this plant is moving closer to yohimbine and has no notable narcotic effects at this dose. This is not surprising given that it has no mitragynine or other derivitives known to bind to the mu receptor.
I will undergo a second trial at 7.5g, and then a trial with an extract. Hopefully I will get a stronger stimulant effect. This could be useful since the motivating effect of kratom could be separated from the narcotic effect with this plant. This could allow for less dependence on mitragynine, and could be chosen for tedious tasks when energy is needed. M. speciosa could then be used for more narcotic purposes.

Well, SWIM attempted a second trial as threatened with 7.5 g gelcapped. Not much increase in stimulant and difficult to define spaced out/dizzy effect, but no strong narcotic effect or pinned pupils were noticed. The alkaloids in this plant are mild at best.
I will use up all the rest at once at some later point, but as predicted, this is not at all up to par with kratom.

    1. 3/5,
      thanks for the experience report

Why would you think its mitragyna parvifolia when it could simply be bad Kratom?
Without naming the vendor, what type of place did you buy the kratom. was it in a head shop or on online shop that sells many legal highs? Or did you buy it from a reputable kratom vendor that specialises in kratom?

How did you take the kratom, how was it prepared and what form was it in?
Did you take it on an empty stomach?

Had you taken any other drugs, including alcohol.

Do you take opiates or anything else that could have raised your tollerence.

Unless the vendor you bought from also sells mitragyna parvifolia then i would imagine that there is little or no way they would have accidently picked, dried and shipped some without noticing or having many complaints.
    Mail them to check.

Im very impressed that anyone can toss and wash 17 grams, espicially the very first time they take kratom!

What gave you the idea to take such a large dose for the first time thought?

Does the vendor you bought from also sell mitragyna parvifolia, if so they might have made a shipping mistake.
You should contact them and ask if anyone else has reported it as a bad batch, any decent vendor will replace it for you.

Well I was looking at eworid and the different dosages they recommended and for 10-20 as a common dose for low potency kratom and 8-15 as a strong dose for premium grade so SWIM told him self he would either OD if it was good kratom or feel effects if it was bad kratom. The site doesn't sell mitragyna parvifolia, well atleast not that i can see anyway.
I did try a different vendor and had success.

My fish noticed with the toss and wash method that euphoria is sometimes quickly followed by extreme dizziness. So he usually makes a fast extraction using boiled water and lemon, unfiltered at about 10g or less. My fish hates that dizzy feeling, especially when he's expecting mild euphoria and to get a few chores done.

    With mitragyna parvifolia ?

There should be no Euphoria with that, are you sure you dont mean Mitragyna Speciosa (Kratom)

If you are getting dizzy then you are probably taking too much.
