SWIM heard from several people that if you want to get rid of the toxic chemicals they coat morning glory seeds with, all you need to do is wash them in hot water with detergent. This doesn't make sense though considering there are numerous sites on the net that give you a much more complicated procedure involving petroleum ether, 100 proof or more alcohol, and a whole lotta waiting for liquids to evaporate. If it was as easy as just washing them with soap, why go through all this trouble.

Can anyone speak from experience, honestly saying that washing the seeds with detergent actually works?

It sounds like the 'numerous sites' you are talking about are referring to extraction processes rather than washing chemicals off the seed.

Not sure. I would suggest looking at a simple cold-water extraction to solve most of swiy's problems. Don't know for sure about the detergent thing.

If it's to combat the nuasea I would suggest travel medication. Over the counter stuff will suffice.

If you do a proper extraction there should be little problems with nausea or other bodyload, or at least not more than average for psychedelics.

Siwm has nenevr been able to get the hang of extractions so he just settles for the pills.

Those pills couldn't be legal, could they?

It depends what he is referring to. If Trebor is talking about LSA extract in pill form then no. If he is talking about ground up MG seeds in gel caps (the nausea would be terrible though!) then the legality may be a bit iffy, but its not illegal as far as I know.

Would recommend doing an extraction, even a simple cold-water one that takes little to no effort, rather than ingesting the seeds as is. Even without the nasty coating the nausea is very prevalent and trust swim, it doesn't make for a great trip!
