So swim has noticed when he eats after coming down (if he has smoked) that certian foods will burn the crap out of parts of his mouth. Like the dope burned his mouth, usually the top of it neer the back. Swim noticed this while eating a penutbutter and jelly sandwich one day... and a turkey sandwich with mustard on it the other day. Those are just examples it happens with other foods as well but not all. Swim has only had this happen when smoking it (one of the reasons he doesent like to smoke). Swim has found that drinking milk makes it stop. What causes this "burning" is it chemical burn or what?

SWIM has no idea, but please be careful if something that bad is afflicting you :/ The burning is due to the ...... burning of your lung tissue :p

If you want cancer keep smoking :/

Milk is a common remedy for 'hot' things in your mouth.

SWIM believes the burning comes from the acid or base that your are inhaling. Then when you eat a food with the opposite they have a reaction? Dumping baking soda into a bottle of vinegar when you were a youning?

Swim says something similar happens to her from time to time, only its more towards the front. She's pretty sure that it comes from continuously rubbing her tongue against her front teeth unknowingly at first and then unwillingly till it's over with. It rubs her tongue raw, making certain foods unusually painful to eat.

She would compare it to the way her tongue feels after eating too much sour candy somewhat. yes? She's not sure why milk helps, but it does.

Re-reading the post, Swim now thinks it might just be Swiy's mouth getting too extensively dry from the smoke and chemicals and essentially turning into sandpaper rubbing against itself and everything else - ultimately resulting in the same thing... Which would then explain the magic milk cure - the milk would both hydrate the skin and coat it with its fatty goodness, thus eliminating the sandpaper effects (at least temporarily).

Yes, this happens to me also, whether smoked or snorted. I have a permanent bottom retainer which is essentially a wire across my bottom teeth. So I'll clench my jaw and start tonguing the retainer until the whole front of my tongue is covered with inflamed taste buds. It sucks.

swim heard that if you drink alot of water after each hit and swish the water around in your mouth and spit it out, it helps the irritation that is caused by left over chemical residue staying on the sensitive parts of the mouth. Drinking lots of liquids in between hits is what Swim heard fixed that problem for Swim, each time.

SWIM gets these mouth sores also.... i belive its from the residue left in ur mouth after smoking, combined with dry mouth apperently leaves some sort of blister on the roof of swims mouth.

SWIMs are also slightly raised, basicly they are little bumps that hurt like shit when u eat food.

So just rinse ur mouth out, works for swim

After u smoke wash ur mouth out good and the sores wont appear anymore... works for swim.

He also notices this after doing pills of E... interesting.

Swim just finished of his last meth and his mouth feels like he's been chewing broken glass. But it was not smoked, it was dissolved in water and taken over a 30-35 hour period. Of coures no sleep or nutrients besides coffee and a little cake.
maybe it's gods way of punishing users.

He also has pain in the ass literally, but could be the result of being seated while surfing the web for the same period of time. Or perhaps he's been sodomized while sleeping.

swim also experienced this once recently. swim would describe it as a painful swelling of the roof of the mouth, the soft pallet in particular. it happened after drinking lemonade, having been up for three or four days. swim found this odd because swim's been smoking meth for years and, up until this point, hadn't encountered this on meth. however, years ago, before swim discovered meth and was snorting at least an 8ball of cocaine a day(wtf, i know), this was par for the course. only occasionally at first, but always on the morning after snorting a lot of coke, it became an almost daily occurance as time went on and swims cocaine use incresed. sour or acidic things like cranberry juice or lemonade seemed to be particulatly effective triggers. swim always assumed this was due to swims nasal passages being irritated by the coke, but now swim's not so sure. swim has a feeling it has something to do with dehydration.

just a quick side note: typing this reminded swim of years past and how amazingly effective meth was at curing swims cocaine addiction. swim has no doubt that others have experianced this. meth, for swim at least, ruined all other drugs, by making them totally unenjoyable, especially cocaine.

    right?

Swishing paroxide in your mouth twice a day helps. There are also some over the counter washes made for mouth sores. That helps swim as she gets them bad too. They will go away in about a week if swiy abstains. But yeah they really hurt bad.

This happens to swim ALL the time. Except with swim it happens when any stimulant is taken, with any ROA. Swim first noticed it when he was doing a lot of E several years ago. Then he stopped the E and began doing coke which also gave swim this horrid sharp pain in the roof of his mouth. Over the years it has progressed to where swim gets the pain when he uses any stimulant, even taking adderall orally.

Swim would describe the pain as a very intense sharp pain on the roof of his mouth in the back area, just in front of the uvula on the softer part of the roof of his mouth. Usually he doesnt notice it until he eats something (anything, not just sour/acidic foods) in which case it comes on hard and fast and usually gets so intense it will cause his eyes to water. However it also usually only happens the first time swim eats something after stimulant use, and also only lasts 5-10 minutes upon trying to eat something, after which the pain seems to rapidly dissipate until swim uses more stimulants and tries to eat.

However swim recently had a 2 day binge with smoking ice. The pain came on as swim tried to eat after the binge was over with, all as expected. However it has been 3 days since swim first got the pain (the day after his binge ended, when he first ate some food) and it is still lingering. This is abnormal for swim as he mentioned above the pain has always seemed to dissipate after 5-10 minutes of a highly intense sharp pain sensation. Also swim doesnt normally feel the pain unless he is just starting to eat something after a stimulant binge (or single use).

For those of you swiys who also get this terrible pain, is this normal for smoked meth? Swim hardly ever uses meth (once or twice a year) but with all other stimulants the pain has never lasted more than 5-10 minutes. However this time, with the meth, the pain is abnormally still lingering after several days, and swim can feel the pain (albeit not nearly as intense as those first few minutes when eating something after a binge) even when not eating anything.

swim gets these sores from pretty much all stimulants coke/amphetamine like.

Its pretty common after a couple days binging for the sores to linger well into the next few days even after he eats and showers. Rarely doese it ever last longer than 3 days.

This has happened to SWIM before *nod* Always in the same place. Roof of mouth in the very back. No matter what food it is, it will end up being a painful experience for SWIM. In her case, she discovered that drinking a little bit of really cold water before she eats will eliminate the pain. Weird, but it works for her.

There's this stuff called Steri/Sol which is a Therapeutic Oral Rinse. You can get it at shoppers or where ever mouthwash is sold. Its red, n u swish for 30 secs then gargle longer the better. You'll be surprised what you'll hork up , like those tan/white little squishy things that annoy the back of your throat sometimes from smoking jib ( if you squish them it smells so nasty ). Also it helps for the bumps on your tongue and inside of mouth. Just don't use it all the time if you don't need it, if you do it wont work as good when you actually need it.

The cherry pie used to get mouth-hurt every time she smoked. It took at least the first 5 tweak-outs before the cherry pie figured out how to avoid this. She'd get really bad sores that hurt so bad that any solid food brushing against them was excruciating. She would stay on a liquid diet until they healed--a few days. Egg drop soup was the source of most her nourishment during these times.
However, she learned a few steps to take to avoid most all mouth-hurt.
After each smoking session brush your teeth with a soft bristle brush. Make sure to gently brush all surfaces in the mouth including the inside of the cheeks, gums, roof, tongue, back side of the lips. If the pipe is hit more than 3xs a day, I guess brushing every time is excessive... a rinse helps still. That cherry pie hardly ever gets sores anymore since she became more stringent with her oral care routine. It staves off the dreaded dry mouth as well... maybe a factor in the mouth hurt?
Once the sores show up the hydrogen peroxide rinse is great but that cherry pie told me she's concerned about it being acidic. Does anyone know how much is too much when it comes to rinsing the mouth with hydrogen peroxide? Pretty much all those exspensive mouth sore rinses only difference is that they contain hydrogen peroxide.
And a little trick that seems to help for any mouth sore--especially those that are from rubbing/tonguing--take a little Vaseline or coconut oil and warm it up so it spreads evenly and smoothly. Put a light coat over the sore. It seems to act like a moisture preserving, slippery shield. Not much is needed. The pie likes to do this on the sides of her tongue when she can't stop rubbing it against her teeth.
Also, if cherry pie hasn't had much rest, she can safely predict mouth hurt is in the mail.
